JIN-WOO GREETED Y/N
with his signature smile, his cheeks flushing ever so slightly as he held the door wide open. Y/N smiled back, handing him the polythene bag full of delicious snacks.

She invited herself in, paying no mind to the pleasantries as she followed him inside, shutting the door. She took a step in to what felt like her second home. Though she barely had enough time to feel nostalgic—even if it had been a day she was away—she was quickly swept away as Jin-Ah dashed towards her and wrapped her in a bone-crushing hug.

"Noona, you're finally here! I even prepared lunch for you, you know!" And by 'preparing lunch'—she meant ordering some food online.

Y/N definitely wasn't opposed to that. "Can't wait," She chuckled, starting to feel a little light-headed from the hug. Though she wouldn't complain. They are her precious babies, so why would she?

"Jin-Ah, don't do that!" Jin-Woo tried to separate the two. "Give her a second to breathe! Geez..." He shook his head disapprovingly as his sister reluctantly let go. Typical sibling behavior.

"Are you okay?" Jin-Woo asked in his usual worrywart tone.

"Never been better," Y/N grinned, patting his shoulder. "By the way, I have something to show you kids." She held a mischievious glint in her eyes as she dug around in her pocket before pulling out the Hunter ID.

The siblings raised an eyebrow at the word kids. 'Kids? Aren't we the same age, though?' Jin-Woo thought.

"Ta-da!" Y/N glorified the Hunter ID by raising it up high in the air. "I'm a hunter now." She winked.

The brother-sister duo took a few seconds to read what the card said.

Just beside her name and information was a bored looking photo of Y/N begrudgingly holding up a thumbs up for the camera. Not the 'Cheese!' she was expected to do.

Jin-Ah was the first to speak up, "Hey! That's like, so awesome! Congrats, Noona!" The girl launched herself and hugged Y/N like a clingy koala. Jin-Woo seemed to share the same sentiment—in the sense that he was genuinely happy—and did not hug her, much to Y/N's disappointment. But it's okay. She can handle this for her kids. She must remain strong!

"That means you can get a buck load of snacks for us! I heard they pay hunters a ton," Jin-Ah winked, smiling gleefully. Meanwhile, her brother couldn't help but be reminded of his father that his mother spoke such highly about.

Her brother smacked her in the head, "Jin-Ah, don't be greedy!" To which the said younger sister pouted and smacked him on the arm. Classic move. Bravo, Sung Jin-Ah.

The new hunter shook her head. "That's not the only reason," she paused, "I can also pay for your mother's treatment."

The two siblings stopped their banter, before Jin-Woo gave her a solemn look. "Thank you, Y/N. But we would really hate to trouble you with the payment. There's no need. The doctors said her condition isn't critical right now, so..."

"That's right. You don't need to worry about us," Jin-Ah joined in.

"I insist." Y/N took both the siblings by their hands, "I get where you're coming from, I do, really. But you also need to get where I'm coming from. I'd hate myself if I couldn't help you guys when I'm able to. Especially since you two are basically like family to me."
