Chapter 21: Snowed In

For weeks, Savani's face was filled with nothing but smiles and genuine love. Amir asked her to be his girlfriend after they went on their first official date. They then bought some popcorn and slushes to the movie theaters while he held her hand to their assigned auditorium. Settling into their seats while getting comfortable. As Savani was watching the movie, Amir reached out and took her hand, giving it a gentle kiss. She was caught off guard as her face began to flush.

As Christmas approached close by, they had a massive snowstorm. They were trapped in the house for days as a result of that.

Amir House

Brooke: I need you home, my baby, a big storm is coming soon.

Jaylen: Okay ma, i'll be there soon.

Brooke: I'm just a little worried about you, my boy.

Jaylen: Don't worry ma. I love you too, see you soon.

Brooke: I love you more baby boy.

Outside, the source of power has been knocked off due to the intense wind gusts while Savani is strolling and using her phone. She freaked out and immediately ran downstairs where her brother and parents were.

Savani House

Savani: Are you guys tryna kill us?

Liv: Now why would we do that vani?

Syven: Ain't no internet ma.

Spencer: I think this big storm knocked the power out.

Savani: WHAT! What are we supposed to do without the internet?

Liv: There were things other than the internet, Savani.

Savani: So what did they do back in y'all day?

Spencer: Ouch! How old do you think we are baby girl?

Savani: I didn't mean it in a bad way dad. (laughs)

Liv: All we did was light some candles but we weren't buried in with snow like you guys.

Syven: What are we going to do ma?

Liv: We can use this time to have a family game night.

A few hours have passed, and Jaylen unintentionally became distracted and forgot to head home. Now the streets are covered in snow, indicating that the storm has gotten particularly serious.

Amir House

Armon: So bad news boys.

Amir: Wassup da?

Armon: The storm snowed us in, So you can't go home right now lil jay.

Jaylen: Dang, I told my mom I was coming home.

Armon: She'll understand and she knows you are always good here.

Jaylen: She was worried earlier about the storm.

Armon: Nothing we can do about it and the power and everything down. Try to see if you can give her a call so she knows you're fine.

Jaylen: Ok I will.
