"Let me out! She needs me! Let me out you absolute piece of-"

"Hey, don't be like that! You and I are going on a little adventure." The parasite said.

Why is the sky blue? I don't even know whether it is anymore. What am I thinking.

I'm trapped inside my own head.

"Now then little mouse, where are we going? To your camp, to check on the half-breed mutations that those gods created? I think they're dying perfectly well without us."

This parasite was really starting to annoy me.

"Let me out! If you're going to torture Ever then at least let me come out and fight you like a man!" The parasite chucked as I tried to persuade him.

"No. I'm not a puny mortal like you, why should I? I've got you safe in your cage, there's no point in giving you another chance when I've already beaten you. Life is unfair. Get used to it."

He had a point. Life is unfair. Oh well, I guess I'm stuck here. May as well give up.

No! Where were these thoughts coming from? I didn't think any of this!

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" I screamed, rattling the cage bars.

Wait.

If the cage bars were rattling, that meant he had loosened my cage!

I glanced through my eyes. The parasite was concentrating on finding wherever he was taking me. He wasn't paying attention to my cage, so it had loosened.

I pushed at the bars. They were no longer solid and taut, they were flexible and bent slightly as though they were relaxed.

I pushed a bit more. The gap widened. I slowly pushed my body through the gap. I had an arm out, a leg out, my head, both arms...

The parasite froze.

"What are you doing little mouse?" He asked me. I could feel him searching around inside my head for me. He looked inside the cage.

"Ah! So you want to play a game, little mouse? You seem to have escaped my cage, but how long can you really hide from me? I'm inside your head! I can see everything."

My whole body was shaking. I hadn't moved from my spot, and he didn't seem to be able to see me, but I didn't know if I could stand on one leg for much longer.

"Where are you..." The parasite mumbled as he searched through my brain.

I could feel him looking around, checking every book and cranny. Suddenly, he was gone.
