(A/N) I haven't edited the other chapters but I've read over this work several times and it didn't feel right to me to have Chaos be genderfluid so I'm going back to what I originally wrote which was a nonbinary Chaos, so ignore all of Chaos' pronouns from this chapter onwards and replace them with they/them. Or just ignore it entirely, Chaos is a very... eclectic character so I don't think the pronouns are really what you'd be focusing on when reading this.

Also, as I'm re-writing/editing this work you may want to wait and go back and read the story after I'm finished editing it (although that may take a while because I am very lazy when it comes to writing) but do whatever you want :) The rest doesn't really make a lot of sense after reading this but it's going to follow the same basic plot anyway.

Enjoy!

The horn sounded to call everyone to breakfast. We wandered over to the dining pavilion. As we were walking, Zoe jogged over to us.

"Do the others know who you are?" she asked. Chaos had changed the way she spoke after she started calling twinkies "fingers of cream". Chaos really liked twinkies.

"Yeah, they know. The sneaky rats." I jokingly glared at Nico and Rachel, as they looked slightly guilty. People who had already seen our faces could see through our masks, one of the many perks of being us!

"I'm insulted! How could you compare us to Henry?!" Rachel jokingly cried. Nico started giggling, something I'd never seen him do before. His face looked so funny!

As we walked into the dining pavilion, I noticed the other members of the Imithon standing around looking slightly uncomfortable. I realised that we didn't have a table to sit at.

I waved my hand in the direction of the other tables, moving them closer together to create a space off to the side. I directed my powers to create a table in the new space.

My friends and I piled our plates up and sat down at our new table. We each picked out our least favourite piece of food and threw it on a plate in the middle. Leo then made the plate burst into flames, and it dissapeared.

"That'll be a nice present for Chaos!" I said, as everyone started cry-laughing at the thought of Chaos complaining about the burnt flavour of our offering.

After talking and laughing while we are our food, we realised that the rest of the campers were still staring at us.

"Please, feel free to continue eating and enduring in your commoner's activities. We don't need to be worshipped ALL of the time..." Luke said, laughing when a couple of the campers actually bowed before returning to their tables. Unfortunately, Henry didn't seem too pleased.

"Why are these losers sitting at your table. Oh wait, you're all losers!" Annabeth, clinging on to his arm let out a high-pitched laugh at his awful insult. Rachel and Nico looked at me, concerned.

"They're sitting here because they're allowed to, unlike you." Leo said, putting an arm around Rachel, who didn't look too happy with the situation.

"Really? I just assumed that you'd all be too awed by my presence to eat your meal, so I kindly sat over at the popular table."

"Why is this, primary school?" Luke whispered to me. I laughed darkly as I remembered all of the schools that I had accidentally demolished. Oops.

"Excuse me, I'd appreciate it if you could stop bothering my friends now. Thanks." I waved my hand at Henry and he flew across the dining pavilion and landed in a large bowl of cereal, his clothes soaked through with milk. Annabeth let out an outraged grunt and turned towards me.

"Let's see if you're laughing when I take this off, Mr high and mighty!" Annabeth said, as she gripped the edge of my hood and pulled it...

To reveal nothing! She tried again but my hood wouldn't come off. All of my friends started laughing as she tried again and again to remove my hood.

"Ok, you've had your fun. Our hoods can't be removed by anyone other than us. What, you thought you could just show everyone how awesome I was? They'd all faint!" I laughed along with my friends as Annabeth scurried back to Henry's side and helped pull him out of the milk.

Suddenly, Rachel stood up, her eyes glowing green. Green smoke surrounded her as she begun to recite a new prophecy:

"The masked ones with our heroes names

Shall help this camp to win our games

Against an enemy hidden within

A tale with deceptions thin

An army that has only ten

Soldiers that have returned again

To fight another mighty beast

They will find allies in the east

To save all that is at stake

They will have to find the fake"

As soon as Rachel finished the prophecy, she collapsed on the floor. Nico calmly walked over and picked her up, laying her down on a spare bench off to the side. I guess he saw people collapse a lot, being the prince of death and all.

"Do you know what any of that meant?" Nico asked us once he had returned to our table. The whole pavilion was quiet, everyone waiting to see what we knew.

"Well, 'the masked ones with our heroes names' and 'soldiers that have returned again' must mean members of the Imithon. We were all campers here once. There are ten of us, so we'll go on the quest with however many of your campers. Apparently we have to head east to find allies to fight a monster of some sort... and it looks like that monster might try and trick us while we're on the quest." I looked around at the campers, who looked rather shocked.

"I'd like to come." Nico said, just as Chiron trotted over to us.

"I think that 3 campers should go. Normally, we would only send three people in total, but according to the gods, the Imithon aren't affected by things such as 'luck'. Nico, you can choose the other members of your party, then get ready to leave by mid-day. I have a feeling that you'll need to travel a long way to get what you need." Chiron looked weary and tired, not at all like he used to. His eyes had bags under them, and his shoulders were slumped.

"Chiron, you don't seem at all like you were when I was a camper here. Did something happen?" I asked him, trying to keep my voice steady as I talked to him.

"One of my best stud- err, campers went missing five years ago exactly. He is believed to be dead, and after the way we treated him it wouldn't surprise me if he never came back, even if he was alive." Chiron sighed and trotted away slowly and sadly.

"Right! Let's go and pack shall we? We've got a quest to go on!"
