Jayda walked into her large home laughing in conversation with Hayden.
“Miss Jay, there’s someone here to see you,”
Maci told her mistress as she walked through the door, not caring to acknowledge Hayden’s presence
“Really? Who?”
“I did not ask a name.”
“In the living room Mayc?”
“Yes.”
Jayda glanced skeptically back at Hayden and walked towards the living room.
She opened the large double doors to see a dashing young man contemplating a painting above the fireplace.
He was tall, had dark swooping hair, and was finely dressed.
She looked to the man’s right to see a red-headed slave boy of probably her own age standing at attention by the bookshelf.
“You’re the visitor I presume.”
The man turned to face her with his deep green eyes, his British accented voice replied,
“That I am Miss Jayda Mayin.”
“You seem familiar.”
Jayda looked the man up and down attempting to decipher why he was ringing a bell within her subconscious.
“Well I should, we were only best friends for years.”
“Ethan? Ethan Roshe? What are you doing here? I thought you moved overseas with your family!”
Jayda ran to hug the man in front of her.
“Oh I did, but I couldn’t stay away for your 18th birthday could I?”
The couple moved to sit on the couch in the middle of the room.
“Ethan, why are you really here?”
“I’m moving back, starting a life here.”
“Ethan that’s wonderful! You must stay for dinner.”
“Your father has already extended that courtesy to me, I will be staying.”
Jayda gave her long lost friend another hug.
“I can’t believe you're actually back.”
He smiled at the beautiful woman sitting next to him.
“Neither can I, when I first saw you, I thought I wasn’t”
“What do you mean?”
“I thought I had died and was looking upon the face of an angle. You’ve blossomed Jay. You wouldn’t believe how I missed you.”
They sat in conversation for a fair half hour, their slaves waiting by the door and bookshelf for them to finish, Jayda looked at the clock. 5:30
“We’ll eat at 6, I should get ready.”
“Yes, I will see you at dinner.”
