I asked my sister Andrea as I sat pool side with our mutual friends.
My sister Andrea just moved to Las Vegas and bought a mansion off the strip tucked away in Summerlin. She decided to throw a house warming pool party, and invited me along with some of our mutual friends along with her boyfriend of two years Jesus.
"Yes Dre! That's what I want please make it happen"
My sister Andrea whined with a small smile on her face then walked off to greet her guest.
Andrea and I are pretty much all we have left in the world besides our late parents siblings.
Our parents died in a car crash when Andrea and I were teenagers in high school.
When our parents passed Andrea and I became billionaires overnight, we both inherited our parents fortune was split down the middle between us like our mother and father wanted.
Our mother and father built a tech and realtor empire from the ground up.
They were not born into money, but they worked hard and once they made their fortune they made sure to help out their siblings. Unfortunately my mother's sister, and my father's brother blew through the money my parents gave them and became entitled.
Right before my mother and father passed they cut off their siblings, and made sure to put in their will that they would not get a dime.
My aunt and uncle tried to fight for custody of me and my sister Andrea, but my parents lawyer stopped that. My sister and I until we turned 18 were able to stay in the care of our butler Douglas Jones, kinda of how Batman was with Alfred is how it was for Andrea and I.
Our aunt and uncle tried to weasel their way into mine and Andrea's lives but we made sure to shut that shit down.
Another reason why I think our mother and father cut their siblings off was because they have nothing in their hearts but hate for anyone who doesn't look like them.
My mother and father didn't play that racist shit and made sure to keep us away from any toxic hateful racist bullshit.
Andrea ended up following in our mother's footsteps by running the realtor business, and I followed in our father's footsteps and handle the tech business. We have been running both since we graduated out of college and grown our family business tenfold.
Andrea is now 28 years old, and I just turned 30 a couple months ago.
We are both highly successful and ready to settle down.
Andrea doesn't know it yet but Jesus is planning to pop the question here soon, he asked me for her hand in marriage a couple months back and it waiting for the right time to ask her to be his wife.
Jesus is a stand up guy.
He is an immigrant who came here with his mother and father, and two sisters in pursuit of the american dream. His mother and father worked four jobs between the two of them to ensure Jesus and his sisters went to the best schools and had everything they needed to be successful in life.
Jesus graduated from Harvard and ended up going to law school to become an immigration attorney, and both his sisters went into politics. One of his sisters is an untied states senator and the other is a governor of the great state of California.
I'm proud and truly grateful that my sister is marrying into a family that is pro-immigrant and also a family that made the RIGHT choice when it came to the election last November.
