My cousin Jamay laughed as she finished telling me about how she saw my former best friend's daughter looking a hot mess at the annual winter open house. I was not in attendance that night because my kids no longer attend that school.
"Well that's horrible that sandy was looking like that, but her mother Heather can eat my ass with a spoon and fork for all I care. I meant what I said, I'm not fucking with her nor am I fucking with her uncle Tom weirdo ass husband"
I replied as I took a sip of my coffee.
"I get it girl, this election showed up who was for us at who wasn't. Sixty percent of white women decided to vote for a convicted felon who doesn't know how to keep his hands to himself. Also disrespects black women, and kept black families out his buildings and also called for the execution of the central park five, mother fucker took out a whole page ad!"
Jamay listed off yelling as she slammed her hands on my kitchen island.
Heather my former best friend and I have been friends since we were babies.
We did everything together.
All of our most important milestones in our lives went through together.
Our families have been close since before we were even born, our mothers are best friends, even our grandmother's are best friends. So this was very much a generational friendship, and Heather ruined it when she and her uncle tom of a husband decided to vote for Trump.
How I found out she and her husband voted for Trump was, someone sent me a video of her at a Trump rally wearing a MAGA hat screaming "Trump 2024! Fuck that wanna be black bitch who slept her way to the top!"
My husband Nick works in IT and was able to trace the number who sent me the video. The video came from Heather's cousin who I have always had issues with, seeing that video broke my heart. Especially after what I had just went through, two months before the election I had to have a D&C because the baby I was growing didn't have a heartbeat, I was devastated.
After having the D&C, my husband took me away for a week to clear my mind.
We have a cabin tucked away in South Dakota.
I got really sick and ended up in the hospital from complications from the D&C. I had to have a full on hysterectomy, but the doctors damn near waited until I went into shock, I almost lost my life all because like many other states South Dakota has an abortion ban.
When I first arrived in the hospital I had lost so much blood.
I knew all they needed to do was remove certain tissues from my uterus and I would have been fine, but because I had a D&C it complicated things. They told me that they couldn't remove the tissue from the fetus until my life was in jeopardy.
Nick called his lawyer and also our families as well.
We are currently suing the hospital and also sold our cabin.
Thankfully I have already had two other children, one girl and one boy who are fraternal twins.
But there are alot of women out there that have lost their lives, and also will not ever be able to experience what it's like to carry their own child.
What's even crazier about Heather's actions, was she was there by my side through the whole thing. So for her to turn around and vote for someone who took away our rights as women, and voted against someone who wanted to give them back was crazy.
