The Final Chapter

Soooo, it's the final chapter! Did you all enjoy what happened so far? Satisfied with Jax's explanation last chapter? I sure hope you are; because... I didn't actually have any other ideas. Well, I'm not gonna mark this story as 'complete' yet, because if anyone comes along and points out an inconsistency, I wanna be able to fix it. I'm hoping that finishing this can also give me more time to finish other books that I'm working on such as "Just an NPC", another JaxxReader, "Where Gravity Tends to Fall", a Bill CipherxReader, and others that I'll start later on.

One month later...

I stared at the ceiling, my mind racing. Who would've thought that Caine was jealous of mine and Jax's relationship- not because he wanted to be with either of us, but because he couldn't be with the moon in the way we were together. It was a bit childish, if I was being honest... but it was pointless to think about that part. He's always given me a bit of a childish vibe, but really, this was going overboard. Whatever, I guess.. It's not like he's forcing us not to talk. Even if I'll miss cuddling with him a bit...

A knock sounded on my door, and I sat up, looking over to see... Caine, looking a bit nervous, floating over to me. I tensed a bit.

"Uh... hey, Y/n." He said, his voice wavering a bit, and I raised an eyebrow, also noticing Jax giving Caine a hard stare, leaning on the doorframe. "Hey..."

"I wanted to say... I... am going to allow you to cuddle with Jax and kiss him and all that stuff. A-and I'm doing this because I've had a change of heart, mind you, not because Moon or Jax or anyone else has been telling me to let it go! So... that's it. Bye." He then left, and Jax walked over, scooping me into his arms as he trapped me against the bed, his face burying itself in my neck.

"Wha-" "Shush." I sighed, and stopped talking, moving one arm to wrap around him, the other hand stroking the back of his head.

"I love you..." He mumbled softly, and I felt my cheeks heat up a bit, a warm and fuzzy feeling spreading through me. "Love you too." I whispered back, and planted a kiss on the top of his head, to which he kissed my cheek, his body shielding me from anything, keeping me safe like a dragon hoarding its pile of gold.

What a cutie... "Good night, bunny boy..." "Mm... you know I'm a rabbit, right?..." He responded, and I blinked, surprised.

"Wh- you are?"

Hi! Now, first of all, UUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH I am so unhappy with this ending... I feel bad for taking you all on an emotional story arc with drama, relationships, angst, fluff, etc. and then making the ending a f[!@ 🎩#$]ing joke. And yet, there was no other way I could think of to end it, unfortunately...
