The sea's will - Nagi no Asukara

Chapter 5

Miuna's P.O.V)

My phone rang, but my hand couldn't answer it.

It looked like my breath was captured in a cage. I kind of thought this was all a sick misunderstanding, but it was real.

The call stopped and the room was silent.

The girl was still crying, but she didn't make any kind of sound.

My phone rang again,
it was Sayu.

Would she have anything important to say?

Okasan wiped away her tears, grabbed her jacket and walked out of the house.

"Akari, mate!" Otasan yelled and ran after her.

My eyes swifted towards the movements of Akira. He stared walking up to the crying girl, shyly hugging her.
I stood there in awe, kawaii!

I relaxed and traced my steps towards them.

I smiled and tilted my head a bit.

"Akira, you like her, don't you?" I said, smirking a bit.

His mouth became small, he blushed and ran up to me, poking me in my bum with his hands like a pistol.

I became irritated and turned around, but he already reached his room. I heard the door slam behind him.

I almost got a heart attack when somebody pulled at my shorts.

"I love you Miuna, please don't tell Hikari about my death", the little girl said.

I looked at her, gasping at the fact it was Manaka-san talking to me through the little girl.

I smiled and said; "Ofcourse i won't, i love you too. Goodbye" while grabbing her little hand and kneeling down.

She smiled back and nodded.

I picked her up and in about 7 seconds, i could hear her snorring already.

I chuckled and took her to Akira's room.

"Njaaa!" Akira said, standing in the corner of the room. He was hiding.

"Akira, she'll sleep in your bed for some time. Is that okay?" I whispered.

He turned around and slightly nodded.

I placed her in his bed and stoke her head.

Akira walked up to his bed and looked at her, blushing a bit.

I smiled, grabbed his hand and walked towards the door, closing it softly.

"Akira?" I said, looking down at him.

He just stared at the ground.

"I looveee youuu!" and i hugged him tightly.

"Iu-na!" he mumbled, trying to free my grip. I only hugged him tighter.

We walked into my room and i grabbed an extra mattress from underneath my bed.

My phone fell out of my pocket and Akira grabbed it.
It stared ringing and he accidentally dropped it.

"Akira!" i yelled, and answered the call.

"Hai?" I said in a rush, forgetting to say who i was.

"Miuna, i can't find your mom. She probably sprung into the ocean or something and i can't go there!" Otasan said, panicking.

"I'm coming! Where are you? You need to watch Akira!" i yelled at my phone.

"At Saya mart, i'll go home. Please!" he begged.

"Quick!" I said, dislining the call and rushing on my shoes.

Akira followed me to the door and looked confused.

I turned around, placed a hand on his shoulder and said; "I'm going to be gone for a bit. I need you to watch over the little girl, okay?"

He nodded and pranced back to his room.

I rushed outside and jumped into the cold sea.

"OKASAN!" i yelled.

"OKAASAAANN!"

My heart stopped beating for a moment, when i saw her standing at her old house talking to my Noun (grandpa).

When she tells her problems to him and about Manaka-san, he will tell Hikari too!
This is bad!

I became very anxious.

"OKASAN!" I screamed at my hardest.

She turned her head at me and i swam towards her.

"Miuna?" she said.

I finally reached their house and hugged her.

She shivered a bit and stoke my hair out of my face.

"I'm okay" she smiled.

I let out a relieved sigh and let my shoulders hang.

"Otasan is worried! You need to go back now! Go back!" I yelled, while pushing her forward.

"Miuna? What are you-"

"Just go!" I yelled frustrated. Maybe i was in time.
Maybe she didn't tell him yet!

She nodded and swam up to the surface.

I looked at Tomori and felt a little uncomfortable. He wasn't very easy to talk to.

"Sa-sakishima-san.." i said softly.

"Hmm?" he said in his low harsh voice.

"Eh.. Nande Monai!" i said in a slightly saised voice and i ran away.

I almost ran past Uroko-sama's temple, as i got grabbed by my arm.
The person tugged me inside and placed me onto the cold floor.

"Listen." Uroko-sama said calmly.

I quickly got up a bit and sat down.

"In one week another hibernation will start." he said.

I thought of the ofunehiki we did last time.

"The salt snow will fall again, and the sea will be unreachable for a year."

"What?!" i yelled.

I won't be able to see Hikari for a year.

"The girl must not have any contact with the sea for a whole year." he continued.

The sacred fire started going wild.

My head started to ache.

"In a year, on the girl's 15th birthday, you need to take her to Shioshishio and-" i stopped listening.

15 in one year?

Hibernation...

Hikari will go into hibernation again.

Kaname will go into hibernation again.

Sayu'll be broken.

"WHAT?!" I screamed grabbing his arm.

"Say goodbye to the one you love." he wispered.

"The one i love
.." i said underneath my breath.

"I DON'T LOVE ANYBODY! WHY ME? GO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO BREAK! LEAVE ME ALONE!" i said pushing him away.

Uroko-sama snapped his fingers and everything went black.
