I awoke to Gabrielle shaking me.

I immediately stood up, wrapped my arms around her waist, and kissed her. "Good morning," I whisper to her.

"Good morning," she says laughing slightly.

"Y'all stop it," I hear Gavroche say. I look over to see him against the wall. He looks disgusted. It's actually kind of amusing.

"Don't watch then," I say back to him. Gabrielle laughs and turns around to Gavroche.

"Did you get anything to eat?" she asked him. He looked down to the floor in response.

"No," he answered. He looked up at her and then wandered off to the kitchen leaving us alone.

I immediately pull her close to me again. Tomorrow was the revolution. Today, though, I'd be spending all of my time with her. The sunrise had just ended. We'd have a lot of time to spend together today, but it wouldn't be enough.

"If you care to know, we'll be playing with Gavroche and his friends today," she said laughing.

"Do we have to?" I asked her smiling.

"I promised I wouldn't leave him. He reminds me of that very five minutes," she jokes.

"Will you be staying with me today?" I asked her. I wanted to know if she was planning on running again.

"Of course," she said. I smiled.

I leaned down and kissed her again. Not gentle as before. After a few minutes we pull away. She smiles.

"Well, I'm guessing you're awake now," she said. I laughed.

This moment was perfect. It just felt right. Having her, next to me. Not worrying about anything. This would be a time I could live in forever.

"Come on, Gavroche will be done with his breakfast by now," she said. I nodded. I was still holding her waist as we walked to the kitchen. Her hands were on top of of mine. Gavroche looked at us once then made gagging noises.

"If you do this all day, I'll die," he said.

"Y'know you could let us spend the day together alone," I suggested. He looked at me like I had suggested something unheard of or forbidden.

"Come outside when y'all are ready," Gavroche said and he ran downstairs to go and join his friends.

"I guess we better go," I say to her. She turned around, facing me.

"I guess so. You should get ready," she says. She walked over to the kitchen table and started staring out at the window. I walked over to her and she looked over to me.

"Y'know I'm basically ready now," I said to her.

"Have you forgotten shirts are necessary? You've been forgetting to wear them quite often," she joked.

"It doesn't bother me," I shrugged. "Does it bother you?"

"No," she said admittedly. I smirked. "So they're not necessary," I said.

"We should meet Gav downstairs then," she said. She stands up to go, but I stop her. I grab her hand and turn her around.

"Can't we just stay here?" I asked her.

"What about Gavroche?" she asked me.

"We'll meet him in a minute," I say.

She smiled up at me. "What do you want to do then in the few minutes we have?" she asked.
