*Peyton's POV*
I drove home in a silent car. I couldn't put on any music because I was already so distracted, any more distractions would cause me to drive into a tree. I was just thinking about so much right now... That game we just won, the reason I won it... I may have a million and one things on my mind but they call seemed to revolve around one... Alex. I don't get it. I've only known her for about a week and I didn't like her for half that. Why can't I stop thinking about her now? Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I realize that even when I didn't like her, or rather when I thought I didn't like her, she was still on my mind. I sighed, stopping at red light. I leaned back in the seat.
And now I've missed my chance... Why did I have to be so stubborn? Why couldn't I just admit to Cole that I liked her? He gets a lot of girls, he'd find a new one in a second. But no, now they're gonna go out, have fun, get married and have kids and she'll be my sister-in-law, who I'll only get to see when I'm driving her kids around or babysitting them on date night... Okay, Calm down Peyton. They haven't even gone a date, maybe it won't work out. But even if it doesn't, I can't go after her. He's my brother. It wouldn't be right... At least one of us is looking out for the other's feelings.
My thoughts were interrupted as I noticed the light change. I stepped on the gas, just wanting to go home and get to bed.
*Alexandria's POV*
"You know I talked to Peyton today?" Vinny said to me. I nodded, looking down on the phone.
"Uh, Cool. What about?"
"You know, guys stuff. Sports, girls." He said to me. I looked up at him, narrowing my eyes.
"Vin, tell me you didn't say something stupid. I already told you, he's scared of you." He laughed,
"I know, I know. And I didn't say anything stupid, just had a little guy to guy talk." He said, and I sighed, hoping he wasn't lying.
We pulled into the driveway and I got out of the car. "Should I make something or should we order in?" I asked him, walking to the front door.
"Uh, I'm kind of in the mood for Chinese so lets order in." Vinny replied. I nodded.
"Good answer." I laughed a little and waited for him to unlock the door before going inside and upstairs. "Order it and call me!" I yell once I'm halfway up. I heard him laugh and say, "I should have seen that coming."
I got to my room and plugged my phone in as I got changed. I got out of my uniform and I put on pajamas, hearing my phone ding as I put on a shirt. I got into bed and picked up my phone.
Tori: I know ur home now, so tell us his name
I read her text and laughed to myself, shaking my head.
Me: I can't give u a name, if he doesn't exist.
Skylar: Come on, Alex. Y can't u just tell us?
Dani: We're just gonna be annoying until you tell us.
I sighed, looking at the door then back down at my phone
Me: His name is Peyton...
That was it. It was the first time I had ever admitted to anyone that I liked him. It was the first time I had even admitted it to myself. Things with Peyton were confusing to me. One day he's a dick to me, and the next day he's amazing... And boy, was he cute. I even started watching a few episodes of Girl Meets World. But even then, I still didn't want to believe that I liked him. Because If I believed it, then I would have to deal with him not liking me back.
