*Alexandria's POV*
"Wait, so he did what?!" Dani yelled and I shushed her, because Vinny and Jake were right downstairs.
After the game yesterday, I told the girls that I needed to vent but they couldn't come because I called them too late so they came over this morning and we've been talking about what happened.
"He said that I shouldn't worry about it, because it was nothing..."
"He really said that?" Skylar asked, sitting on my bed. I looked down and nodded.
"Yeah, those exact words... There's no other way to take that is there?" I asked, hopefully but sadly aware of the answer.
" 'Fraid not, A. I'm sorry." Tori said to me and I nodded again.
"It's fine... I wasn't expecting much anyway..." I told them softly and all came in and hugged me.
"We'll just have to find you a new guy." Dani said and we all looked at her.
"Seriously?" Skylar asked.
"What? Come on, Alex is gorgeous and she shouldn't mope over some guy who almost kissed her then said 'it was nothing'. This isn't some game. It's his loss."
"Dani, you—" Tori started to say but I cut her off.
"No, Tori, she's right." I break loose and stand up, "I'm not just gonna mope around because of Peyton... It's his loss." I said, trying to convince myself.
"Yes! There you go. So where are you gonna go? The mall? No, the pool?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows. I shake my head, picking up my baseball bag.
"Wait, what are you doing?" Skylar asked.
"I'll be back. You guys can let yourselves out or you can wait here. You're choice. Love you!" I yelled, walking out of my room and leaving my house. "Vinny, feed my friends please" I tell him as I walk through the door, hearing him say, "Um, okay."
I laugh a little and jog down to the park. But not just the Park, My Park.
It's the best way to release any stress or anxiety. I picked up my bat and swung at baseballs after tossing them into the air. I alternated between hitting and pitching.
I did this for about a half hour before I heard footsteps. I had just tossed a ball into the air but I didn't swing yet. The ball fell onto the ground and I turned around. There he was, just standing there, smirking at me, with his hands in his pockets.
I just kind of looked at him, shocked that he was even here.
"What are you doing here?" I ask him.
"What? Did you think I was just gonna disappear after that game and you'd never see me again?" He said to me, continuing to walk closer.
"Kind of, yeah." I told him truthfully, nodding slightly.
"Well I'm Back, Cupcake..." He opened his arms and came even closer.
"Don't call me cupcake." I said, placing my free hand on his chest, stopping him.
"Fine, sorry." He dropped his arms, placing them back into the pockets of his basketball shorts. "What are you doing here anyway?"
"What do you think?" I questioned as I picked up my bat.
"Well obviously I know what you were doing, I saw you.... But I mean, why are you doing it?" He asked and I shrugged.
"Blowing off some steam, I guess."
