*Peyton's POV*

I closed the door behind her, actually feeling the breeze from outside now.

"Alex, what happened? What are you doing here?" I asked her, noticing as she started to shake a little.

"I'm so sorry, Peyton." She said, her voice cracking a bit as she got choked up. It looked like she was about to break down. I quickly step in and hugged her, pretty much catching her before she fell onto her knees.

"Hey..." I whispered, running a hand over her hair. As much as it killed me to see her like this, I felt a small smile creep onto my lips as she wrapped her arms back around me.

"Come on. Let's get you into something dry." I said, helping her up the stairs, my arms still around her.

I led her into my bedroom and sat her on the bed. I handed her a towel before going to my dresser and grabbing her a sweatshirt and some basketball shorts that I thought could fit her.

"I'll be right outside when you're finished okay?" I told her and she nodded.

"Thank you." She sniffled.

"No problem, I have tissues right here on the nightstand if you need any." I added softly before walking out of the bedroom so she could get changed.

I quickly ran downstairs and started to make some hot chocolate before heading back up, so I could keep my word and be outside the door for her. I was lucky because just as I made it to the door, it was opening.

Alex walked out, barefaced as she wiped off her makeup. I quickly looked her over, smiling since she was in my hoodie and she looked amazing in it. She continued drying her hair with my towel as she took another step and looked up at me.

"The shorts were too big" She said softly, still sniffling.

"Uh, yeah... I mean, okay. That's fine." I replied, glancing down at her legs as my sweatshirt ended just above her knees. "So, you wanna go downstairs? I'm watching movies." I asked her and she simply nodded. I led her downstairs over to the couch, taking the towel as she sat. I wrapped the blanket I had down there around her before walking to the kitchen to get the cocoa. I tossed the towel into the hamper in the hall before bringing the cocoa into the living room. I sat beside Alex, handing her the mug.

"Thank you, P." She said, moving in closer to me as I grabbed the remote, having decided to change the movie, since I wasn't really feeling horror any more. I smiled at her.

"You're welcome, Alex... Do you want to talk about what happened tonight?" I asked and she sipped her drink and shook her head

"I just... I should have listened to you yesterday. I'm sorry."

"You don't have to be sorry. I was a jerk to you and I shouldn't have been. Anyone would be lucky to date you." I told her, looking down at her, still seeing the water in her beautiful eyes, which were a bit bluer than usual

"Thanks." She said softly, looking down into her mug. I smiled and nodded.

Nothing else was said for a while once I started the new movie.

Alex stood up and I raised an eyebrow.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"I finished my cocoa." She answered as she made her way into the kitchen. I watched her walk off for a bit and shook my head as I heard her washing the mug. What a cutie.

She was coming back so I quickly turned back around to the TV. She sat down beside me again, closer this time. Her leg against mine. Thoughts ran through my head as I considered whether or not it was intentional
