"Come on; sit down." Urged Zach as he guided me to a high chair at the breakfast bar where two cups of tea were set. I sat down and he walked over to the chair next to me. "Are you alright?" He asked with sincere concern. "What happened?"

I wrapped my hands around the plain light blue mug; it heat me up from my thoughts and the wet hair on my shoulders. "I'm okay. He didn't get to do anything. You came just in time." I looked straight into his eyes. "I don't know if I can thank you enough, how I could ever make it up to you."

He gave me a warm smile and put his hand on my arm. "You're okay. That's payment enough."

I smiled back because I couldn't help it. His smile was mesmerizing with his full lips and purely white teeth practically sparkling with the light coming in from the window. His hair effortlessly swayed around his head in golden rays. His eyes were as blue as the sky on a perfect summer day. His skin showed no sign of a single blemish or imperfection. His arms looked strongly toned and muscular, yet were gentle when holding mine. He was picture perfect and sweet.

"Are you sure you're alright?" He asked yet again worried.

I nodded. "Yeah, yeah. Where's Luke?"

"He's having car trouble." He said almost instantly. I looked at him puzzled, and as if he knew what I was thinking, he added: "I called him."

We spoke for a few minutes about things that kept my mind off of the past hours' events and I loved it. I was distracted, not thinking- almost relaxed.

Soon enough, I decided my tea was cool enough for me and brought the mug to my lips and took a sip. English Breakfast Black Tea: my favorite. I smiled as the steam spread across my face and I continued to drink.

I heard Zach laugh and quickly departed from the drink. "What?" I hadn't realized my eyes were closed until I opened them and smiled sheepishly.

"You're doing that thing."

"What thing?"

"The commercial thing."

I was confused and showed it on my faced. He sighed and seemed a little frustrated- not in an angry way-, but in a way where he couldn't explain it. He looked down to the cup in his hand, playing with the string of the tea bag. "Whenever you drink something hot you do this thing- it's like you're in an advertisement. You close your eyes and smile as you sip and swallow and you're always in sluggish clothing around the house, but you look like you still spent hours in a chair having someone do your hair and makeup to get you ready to do it. If you have sleeves on, you always pull them down to cover your hands from the hot cup. The drink is always still steaming hot, but you drink it anyways because you have this insanely high tolerance for heat, and-"

He finally got out of his sort of trance and looked up from his cup to my wide eyes.

"- and I sound like a total creep." He laughed nervously.

"No, no." I stammered. "I just never knew you knew that. Hell, I didn't even know I knew that."

"I've seen you do it a million times."

"I guess I do it when I think no one's watching me."

"I'm always watching you. I can't help it. You're-" He closed his eyes in regret mid-sentence. "I should shut up."

"Don't. I'm what?"

"I won't." He looked to his sock-covered feet shyly.

"Tell me." I demanded and set my cup on the breakfast bar. I looked to Zach stubbornly.

He looked back at me. "Fine." He slammed his cup onto the table as well, spilling some tea onto the surface of the bar and looked out the kitchen window.
