"Come on. One more pleaseeee." I implore with each arm on either side of Alex's head. Her adorable smile widens on her face and she sheepishly yet hotly bites her lower lip as she shakes her head.

"Jai, no. I said one and one only. I promised myself I wouldn't even give you that one, but your pout and puppy dog eyes convinced me other wise."

Just then I pull the eyes and pout again, hoping for her to reconsider her denial for another kiss. The first was a quick peck that left me far from satisfied and may had even heightened my yearning for her lips. This is the only time we've kissed since the night she broke up with Luke and I'm surprised I've lasted this long without this kind of interaction, but at the same time I'm not.

Just by talking and hanging out I feel happy to be with her; to know she likes me back and that we can try this out. I don't feel all that proud stealing my brother's girlfriend but I never acted on my feelings while they were together; I backed the hell off and I only hope he'll do the same for me, especially because he ruined what he had with Alex himself.

She instantly raises her hands to cover her eyes from my puppy dog face, causing water to splash in my own face. A low grunt comes from my mouth as I wipe my eyes while she giggles. "Sorry."

"If you're really sorry then..." I start to lean in but her hand on my naked chest stops me and I open my eyes to find her eyebrows rise in amusement before she responds.

"I'm not that sorry, honey." She then lowers her head into the pool, releasing herself from my grasp, and swimming to the other side of the natatorium. I follow her almost immediately without trying to hide because there's no need to deny how pathetically infatuated I am with the one and only Alex Scold and she knows it.

She finally picks her head up from the water. "Honey?" I question her use of the word.

"Oh don't feel special; I call everyone pet names." She playfully rolls her eyes and I pout again.

"So I'm not special." I pretend to feel hurt as I lower my gaze to my fingers.

"Your pout and eyes will be the death of me, Jai Brooks. I can promise you that." She slowly makes her way to me which doesn't take long because I'm rarely far from her lately. I look up to find her looking at me expectantly.

"Well do you want this kiss or not? Pucker up pretty boy." I flash a triumphant smile in victory for convincing her to kiss me again and she rolls her eyes before wrapping her arms around the back of my neck and leaning in.

Her eyes are closed and I take the split second to make a mental photograph of her like this; lips puckered, eyes closed, and face close to mine, eliminating more and more distance between us by the millisecond. I grip the sides of her face and pull her to me, connecting our lips softly. Her skin is wet from the water and I taste the chlorine from the surface of her lips. Our mouths mold to one another's in the most hypnotizing way and I'm desperate to stay like this for while. Her fingers are entwined on the back of my neck and my hands are underwater on her waist, pressing her against me. The kiss is simple; our tongues never come into contact, but I'm still reluctant when she pulls away.

I frown when we're fully separated and whine like a child. "More." I plea.

She laughs again. "No. Anne can come back any second and if she finds us like this," she throws her elbows in the air while keeping on her hands on my neck to emphasize the position, "she'd be heartbroken. I can't do that to her."

We'd spent the entire day with Anne even after the funeral. We went out to eat for lunch at Panera and then came back here. We've been playing nearly all after noon and night: pool, ping pong, Wii, and some foosball. This place is really cool and filled with a whole bunch of things to do; it's impossible to get bored.
