In the evening, you stood in front of Sasha's front door. Being a studious person, you disliked being late for events you had agreed to attend. As you gazed at the mosaic-patterned stained glass, you pressed the doorbell and heard it ring from inside. Just before you lowered your AirPod Max from your ears to your neck, you heard footsteps approaching.
Hearing the door unlock loudly, Sasha opened the door widely with a grin implanted on her face causing her smile lines to deepen. With a beautiful smile as contagious as hers, you couldn't help but return a smile as you entered her home before opening your arms out for a hug.
"Hi my baby, thanks for coming," Sasha squeezed you tightly as you rubbed her back, your hands sliding along the fabric of her Victoria's Secret striped loungewear. You entered her familiar corridor already hearing music coming from the kitchen that was to your left, you could tell that someone also was there.
Slipping off your Asics and lining them neatly beside the pair of Dr Marten's that were left, you followed Sasha into the kitchen. As you walked in, you made eye contact with the jet black-haired girl who sat on the table dipping in some cake pops into a bowl of strawberry-coloured white chocolate sauce.
"Anyways, you and Mikasa are the early ones so unfortunately you're going to be stuck with prepping," Sasha held her hand out pointing towards Mikasa. At this moment you didn't know if you should say hi. Knowing that you were going to be stuck with her all night, it would be weird not to.
"Hey," Mikasa simply said beating you towards your invitation to greet you as she gave you a small smile which you returned.
"Hi," you also simply replied walking in further and eyeing all the sweet and savoury snacks that were aligned on the kitchen counter and dining table.
"So do you wanna get changed first or when everyone comes?" Sasha leaned on her leg placing one hand on her hips as she eyed the duffel bag that you were holding.
"I'll get changed later," you replied.
"Smart," Sasha walked ahead of you. "Come let's put your bag in my room," Sasha uttered as you followed her up the stairs and into their spacious cosy room, eyeing the pink banners and candles that decorated each corner. You placed your bag on top of her carpet with a small thud emitting out of it before rubbing your aching shoulder.
"It's a bit awkward, I know," Sasha frowned as she picked up her Denman brush and began brushing her hair.
"You said it, not me," You replied releasing a heavy sigh, knowing that Sasha knew you too well. It was in fact awkward and you hated it.
Never building any kind of rapport with Mikasa since she rubbed you off the wrong way from Armin's games night, you knew you had to prepare yourself for when Annie arrived.
