Taehyung and Jungkook stood at the airport, their fingers intertwined as they waited for their flight.

Their luggage had already been checked in, their goodbyes said. Everyone else had flown home the day before, and even Bambam had left an hour ago for his night flight. But Taehyung?

He was going with Jungkook.

They had talked about it, weighed every possibility, and in the end, there was no hesitation.

They would live together in Jungkook’s LA apartment.

Fast-paced? Maybe. Maybe not. But undoubtedly, they both needed it.

Still, Taehyung huffed, tugging at the oversized denim jacket he had stole from Jungkook.

“I don’t exactly look the part. I woke up late because a certain someone kept me up all night rambling about ancient Egypt and is it more advanced than any civilization now.”

Jungkook grinned, not the least bit guilty.

“Come on, you should know better than anyone. besides, look perfect.” His gaze raked over Taehyung’s effortlessly stylish form, from the messy waves of his dark hair to the slightly oversized sleeves of Jungkook’s Calvin Klein jacket that made him look impossibly soft.

“I still can’t believe we’re doing this,” Taehyung murmured, tightening his grip on Jungkook’s hand. “LA, huh? Feels like a dream.”

Jungkook squeezed his hand in return. “It’s real. All of it.” He leaned in close, his voice teasing yet undeniably warm.

“A handsome, devoted man is taking you to live with him, and this is what you’re worried about?” He smirked. “I’d rather you focus on appreciating the real Jungkook charm.” he gestured to himself from head to toe.

Taehyung scoffed and shoved him playfully.

“Don’t even start. I saw the way those girls in the line were ogling you.” He crossed his arms. “You’re lucky I’m a decent guy who doesn’t like causing trouble.”

Jungkook chuckled, enjoying Taehyung’s little jealous streak.

“Relax, baby. They can look, but they can’t have me.” He pulled Taehyung in, pressing a quick kiss to his lips—unbothered by the curious glances they were attracting. “You know you’re the only one for me, my Pharaoh.” he teased.

They approached the boarding gate, and Jungkook noticed Taehyung fiddling with the collar of his shirt. “Here, let me fix that,” Jungkook murmured.

He gently guided Taehyung toward the airport restroom, under the pretense of fixing his clothes—but really, Jungkook just wanted a moment alone with him.

Inside the stall, Jungkook cupped Taehyung’s face, his thumb tracing the delicate curve of his cheekbone.

“I know LA is familiar to you,” Jungkook murmured, his voice low, “but this is a new chapter for both of us.” His dark eyes searched Taehyung’s. “I just want you to know I’m here. Every step of the way.”

Taehyung’s breath hitched slightly, overwhelmed by the sincerity in Jungkook’s gaze.

And then, Jungkook kissed him—slow, deep, full of everything they had fought for. The battles they had won. The love that had defied time itself.

They lost themselves in it, until—

A loud cough shattered the moment.

A weary janitor stood outside the stall, mop in hand. “Duty calls,” he muttered, eyes deliberately averted.
