I mixed two chapters together, so this one's gonna be long. I hope you're looking forward to the next chapters because they're gonna be quiet, surprising, I might say.

Taehyung wasn't a bad cook. At least, he didn't think he was.
But as he stared at the charred remains of what was supposed to be pancakes, he was starting to doubt himself.
The edges were crispy-too crispy. The middle? Suspiciously raw.
Smoke curled in the air, setting off the kitchen's overly sensitive alarm.
"Shit-" Taehyung scrambled for a dish towel, waving it wildly at the detector. "It's fine! I got it!"
Behind him, the coffee machine whirred, completing its brew.
The eggs on the pan? Salvageable.
The toast? Burnt.
The orange juice? Well, he hadn't messed that up, at least.
He exhaled, turning when he heard footsteps.
Jungkook, fresh out of the shower, his hair damp and curling at the ends, entered the kitchen with lazy steps.
His sweatpants hung low on his hips, the white tank top clinging to his torso, and Taehyung briefly forgot about the crime scene on the counter.
Jungkook paused, sniffing the air. Then, he turned to Taehyung, one brow lifting.
Taehyung crossed his arms. "Don't."
Jungkook, to his credit, schooled his features and walked over casually.
He examined the plate, assessing the situation, then picked up a pancake, inspecting it. It was rock solid.
"It's fine," Jungkook said.
Taehyung narrowed his eyes. "Liar."
Jungkook tore off a piece and popped it into his mouth. He chewed, his jaw working slowly, and then, he swallowed.
Taehyung winced. "You don't have to-"
"It's good," Jungkook said smoothly, reaching for another bite.
Taehyung's heart ached.
This idiot.
He didn't even flinch as he ate, forcing down the burnt pancake with a completely neutral expression.
His ears were pink, though, and Taehyung knew, he knew, it was taking everything in him not to gag.
Jungkook met his gaze, swallowing another bite. "Mm. so good."
That did it.
Taehyung grabbed the plate and snatched it away. "Enough."
Jungkook blinked, mouth still full. "Wha-?"
"I'm not feeding you charcoal, you psycho." Taehyung dumped the evidence in the trash, rubbing his temple. "Just, let me order something."
Jungkook licked his lips, then grinned. "You're cute when flustered."
Taehyung shot him a look. "And you're cute when you shut up."
Jungkook chuckled, licking the leftover syrup on the fork.
he groaned softly, stretching as he leaned against the counter. "You tried. That's all that matters."
Taehyung sighed, feeling warmth creep up his chest. He turned to grab his phone. "You're impossible."
