Taehyung stirred, blinking against the daylight spilling through the blinds. His eyes flickered to Jungkook, standing quietly by the door.
His hair messy, yet soft and sweet. his dark grey pajama pants and dark grey tee shirt fell lazily on his sturdy frame as he crossed his arm.
Jungkook’s eyes were on him, soft, almost unreadable, but there was something behind them—like he was in a deep conversation with himself.
Taehyung sat up, rubbing his eyes. “how did i get here?”
Jungkook tilted his head slightly, lips curling into that lazy half-smile. “I carried you.”
Taehyung pushed himself up, the warmth of the blankets reluctantly leaving him.
He glanced at Jungkook, and for a moment, they both just… looked.
Jungkook’s gaze never wavered, just quietly assessing.
A soft sigh escaped Taehyung as he stretched, letting his arms hang over the edge of the bed.
He caught Jungkook’s fingers twitch at the movement, like something about the sight was making him think.
Jungkook blinked once, then let out a breath, shaking his head like he was clearing something from his head.
“Coffee’s ready,” Jungkook said, voice low but not forced. His lips twitched as if something amused him but he kept it to himself.
Taehyung nodded, finally pushing off the bed and walking toward him.
As he passed, Jungkook’s gaze followed, tracing the lines of his figure with an almost imperceptible shift of his eyes.
The subtle movement made Taehyung pause, just for a second, before continuing to the kitchen.
Jungkook didn’t follow right away. He leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, watching again, with an unreadable expression.
“You going to stare at me all day?” Taehyung asked over his shoulder, barely an edge to his voice.
Jungkook shrugged, still standing perfectly still, his eyes lingering on the back of Taehyung’s neck for a moment longer than necessary. “Maybe.”
A faint chuckle escaped Taehyung, almost too soft to catch, as he grabbed the coffee mug. His shoulders relaxed, tension slipping as he prepared his drink.
Jungkook took a slow step closer, stopping just behind Taehyung, but not touching.
His fingers hovered near Taehyung’s wrist for a fraction of a second—just long enough to make Taehyung’s pulse speed up, just barely.
The air between them thickened, but neither acknowledged it.
Jungkook took the opportunity to nuzzle his nose lightly in his hair, taking in the scent of his shampoo before closing his eyes in a bliss.
“What’s for breakfast?” Taehyung smiled shyly, focusing on the mug in his hands to distract himself.
Jungkook didn’t answer immediately.
Instead, he raised an eyebrow slightly, his lips pressing together as if trying to hold back something.
Finally, he spoke, his voice a little lighter, almost playful. “You’ll see.”
Taehyung hummed in response, taking a sip of his coffee, but his gaze flickered to Jungkook once more.
Jungkook’s eyes met his for a brief, quiet moment, a silent exchange passed between them.
