Ben Tennyson in Poppy Playtime

Chapter 4: Part 5

Ben started waking up.

"Are you okay?" Catnap asked.

"Yeah..." Ben said.

Ben got up and typed 3642 causing the glass to break. They jumped upstairs and started crawling in the vents. They jumped down and Ben scanned with his Grabpack and the door opened. They entered the next room. Ben noticed chain cuffs on the ground. Ben picked them up to inspect it.

"Whoever was in these chains must have broken free." Ben said.

"You know, I never thought I'd see another like you. A human. Clearly you're too young to be one of the employees in this company. But I've heard a lot about you, Ben 10. Let's see how far you can get from here." The Doctor said.

The door opened and then a lion with colorful yawn for mane ran straight at the glass wall.

"Meet Yarnaby." The Doctor said.

Yarnaby started scratching the glass wall and growled. He ran out of the room. Ben's heart starts beating fast. Ben scanned the scanner and they walked through the narrow hallways. Then a playdoh-like hand unlocked the door.

"Be careful guys, that Yarnaby thing could be anywhere." Ben said.

Ben crouched down and Yarnaby was sniffing around. Ben covered his mouth to quiet down his heavy breathing. Then Ben heard a voice that got Yarnaby distracted. Ben climbed into the vents.

"Ben, you go on ahead, we'll catch up." Mommy said.

Ben jumped out into a hallway and then Yarnaby spotted him. Ben started sprinting as Daisy clutched his shoulder. Ben wasn't able to shut the door in time. Ben stumbled onto the floor. Ben started scooting backwards to a wall as Yarnaby walked closer. He opened his head revealing his fangs. Ben's breathing got more intense. He curled up and closed his eyes as Yarnaby was getting ready to bite his head off.

"P-please, don't k-kill me. I-I'm here to help!" Ben stuttered.

Yarnaby then closes his head and starts sniffing Ben. Then Yarnaby sits down and looks at Ben. Ben slowly opens his eyes as his breathing slowly goes back to normal. Ben cautiously reached his hand to Yarnaby.

"Please don't bite my hand off." Ben whispered.

Ben was able to rest his hand on Yarnaby. Yarnaby lets out a growl like purr. Ben noticed that he trusted him. Ben sighed in relief.

"Thank you." Ben said.

Then Yarnaby encourages him to follow him. Daisy went back on Ben's shoulder as they started following Yarnaby. Ben noticed a dino looking toy down in the pit. Ben slides down the pit and the dinosaur noticed him. It started making piano noises as it approaches Ben.
