Ben Tennyson in Poppy Playtime

Chapter 4: Part 6

Two arms made out of playdoh grabbed hold of the Pianosaurs toy and started thrashing it around. Ben watched the scene unfold with a mix of confusion in his eyes. Then it drags Pianosaurs into the darkness and eats it. (Sorry I had to do it)

"What the hell?" Ben muttered.

"Now that hit the spot!" A voice said.

The thing that ate the Pianosaurs came out of the darkness. He looks to be a man made out of playdoh with a top hat.

"I haven't eaten in weeks!" The playdoh man said.

Ben's heartbeat started pumping as he holds on to Daisy. The playdoh man noticed Ben he walks up to him.

"Hiya there, pal! Don't worry, I won't eat YOU." The playdoh man said.

Ben raised his eyebrow in confusion. He wasn't expecting him to be friendly. Then he thought this must be the friend that Poppy was talking about.

"I'm Doey, you must be the human that is trying to save the toys." The playdoh man said lift up his little top hat in a greeting.

"Y-Yes, I am. I'm Ben, a friend of Poppy's." Ben said.

Daisy meowed in greeting.

"And this is Daisy." Ben said.

"Ben?" Mommy said.

Ben looked up to see Mommy and Catnap next to Yarnaby.

"Guys, down here." Ben said.

The two of them jumped down to join Ben, Daisy, and Doey.

"That's includes you too, Yarnaby. You're part of this team now." Ben said.

Yarnaby lets out a purring growl as he jumps down with them.

"Hello, I'm Doey. I've been told to be expecting you guys. This way, fallow me..." Doey said.

"Ben dear, who's he?" Mommy asked.

"I don't know, but he saved me from that Pianosaurs thing." Ben said.

Yarnaby rubs his head on Ben.

"And I just convinced Yarnaby to join us, Yarnaby this is Daisy, Mommy Long Legs, and Catnap." Ben said.

Yarnaby purrs and shakes his yarn mane in greeting.

"Well that Doey guy is encouraged us to follow him." Catnap said.

They started following Doey. They entered interrogation rooms.

"Interrogation rooms. They'd question us here after watching us. Those of us who could speak at all. I always answered." Doey said.

Ben walked down the halls, Yarnaby started sniffing a VHS tape. Ben picked it up and puts it in the VCR.

"Ah, my old commercial. Those were the days." Doey said.

"Yeah, but the kid..." Ben said.

Ben decides to forget about what he just saw and continued. Doey went through the bars then break them.

"There's some nasty falls in this place, but I can get you across. Oh yes, definitely." Doey said.

"Uh, thanks. I guess." Ben said.

Doey uses his body as a bridge for Ben and the others to get across.

"So... have you seen Poppy anywhere?" Doey asked.

"No, the last time I saw her was when we arrived in the underground." Ben said.

They continued going through the cavern until they made it into the prison yard.

"The door is locked. So I guess we go through here." Doey said as he goes through the crack.

"Uh, we can't fit in there." Ben said.

"Yeah, it's too narrow. Even for Mommy." Mommy said.

"Well, we need to find a way to open that door. I'll look over here." Doey said.

Ben looks around and saw some chains.

"Everyone, grab a chain and pull it to hook it on the door!" Ben said.

Ben starts pulling the first chain as Daisy pulls on his hood. Mommy starts pulling the second chain. Catnap turns into his bigger body to pull the third chain. And Yarnaby starts pulling the fourth chain with his teeth. They hooked it up to the door. Ben went upstairs to look for some kind of switch. Ben looks at the numbers on the towers to type in the code. He typed in 3021 then the door opened to find a switch handle. Ben grabs it and rushed downstairs and put the lever handle on.

"Can this help?" Doey said as he sends them another lever handle. He puts it on, then puts the other one in.

"Every pull their switch on three." Ben said as everyone grabbed hold on the four switches.

"One, two, thrrrrreee!" Ben said as he uses all of his muscles to pull the lever. The door started to open. Ben sighed in exhaustion.

"Great job everyone." Ben said.
