in that dense, shadowy forest where towering trees blocked the moonlight, darkness enveloped everything. the absence of the moon rendered the sky even more ominous. within the forest, Adthiya and Paru lay unconscious, their eyes shut and bodies stained with their own blood. a pool of blood collected beneath Paru. Adthiya showed no signs of life. his left cheek was entirely caved in from multiple blows. blood gushed from his leg, where a tree had struck him.
the stillness of the forest was broken by the sound of a car approaching. soon, two vehicles arrived. Seyit and Vikram stepped out accompanied by several of his men.
"Adthiya" Vikram shouted in disbelief rushing toward him. Seyit trailed behind assessing Paru's condition. his eyes widened in horror as he comprehended the gravity of their situation.
"Vikram, look here," Seyit urged and Vikram's gaze shifted to Paru, resulting in a similar shock.
"Start the car! " Seyit commanded his men and they swiftly lifted Adthiya and Paru. moments later their car arrived at a large hospital.
"Stretcher! " Vikram barked. medical staff rushed toward them.
"I don't care how you do it, just make them better! " Vikram demanded furiously glaring at the doctors. the physician nodded in trepidation.
after a short while, their surgery commenced.
"Vikram," Divya called out as she approached him.
"Divya, what are you doing here at this hour? your due date is in a few weeks," Vikram replied.
"how are Adthiya and Paru? " she completely bypassed his inquiry.
"They'll be fine. you should head home" Vikram responded affectionately.
"no, I'm perfectly fine" she said her attention shifting to Seyit who sat there looking dejected.
"he's the one who helped bring Adthiya and Paru here," Vikram added.
"hmmm. "
the doctor exited the operating room prompting Seyit, Vikram, and Divya to rush toward him.
"how are they? " Seyit inquired, tense with worry.
"Adthiya is stable we've stitched up his head. he should be alright, and he will be able to go home in a few weeks" the doctor assured them.
"and what about Paru? " Divya asked, her heart heavy.
"unfortunately, I'm deeply sorry to inform you that we couldn't save the baby. she lost a significant amount of blood, and her blood type is exceptionally rare. the situation is dire following a miscarriage the loss of blood is substantial. we managed to obtain some from our blood bank but we still require additional blood," the doctor admitted softly.
Seyit immediately pulled out his phone and stepped outside to make a call.
after one day:
Adthiya lay in the hospital bed, the rhythmic beeping of the machines echoing in the quiet room. his eyeballs flickered beneath his closed lids, and his fingers stirred slightly. he murmured something indistinctly beneath the mask. after much effort he gradually opened his eyes.
Adthiya pov:
When I finally opened my eyes after numerous attempts everything appeared hazy. I couldn't see anything with clarity. My entire body felt excessively heavy. I scanned the area slowly trying to locate my paru. However, no one was present. I hastily removed the IV needle from my hand, causing blood to trickle out. I threw away the machine that incessantly beeped beside me.
