We got to the front door of the Miller's, Max knocked on the door and it was opened by Mrs. Gloria, Wyatt's Mom who held a smile on her face, the same kind of smile Mom had on hers since she came into my room to help me with my hair.
"Please come in." Mrs. Miller said warmly with an inviting smile while stepping out of the way for us to enter.
I took one look around the living room only for my mouth to fall agape at how beautiful the interior of the house looked. From the outside it looked like an average neighbours house, but on the inside it looked like it's the home of perfectionist celebrities.
With beige and cream coloured walls making me internally smile because of beige being one of my favourite colours.
"Have a seat." Mrs. Millers said leading us to the living room containing multiple sofas and couches, a huge TV, polished marble all around the walls as sly decorations.
I took a good look at Mrs. Miller and noticed the way she was grinning at Mom and her reciprocating it, and that was when I noticed what she was wearing.
A fitted knee length turquoise cocktail dress with pretty diamond jewelry that match the vibe, and I won't lie, her dress is stunning, if not that dad couldn't keep his eyes off mom I'm sure he'd be passing Mrs. Miller sly glances.
"Try make yourself comfortable." She said, snapping me out of my trance and realizing that I was now seated right next to Max who was busy on a call with the same girl I sent out of his room the other day, his supposed girlfriend.
I thought he was into Freda, I would have made a great ship name for them, what would it be?
Uh... Meda,
No, um... Frex,
No, ugh um, Mad?
No.
Well I guess I was wrong, I would've made a terrible ship name for them, they're lucky they didn't hear my ship attempts.
I looked away from Max and directly at Mom and Mrs. Millers who were talking about something and giggling like they were childhood besties on a couch furthest away from ours with dad sitting right beside Mom with his hand on her lap.
The aroma from the kitchen could literally make my mouth water right now, And we have already established the fact that I love food so I couldn't wait for dinner to be ready.
I got bored real quick and decided to just scroll through Tiktok with one of my ear pods on so no one else could hear what I was listening to. One last time I glanced at Max still seeing him talking to his girlfriend who I barely know anything about, thank God, but I couldn't care less.
I would occasionally glance at my surroundings just in case someone was taken to me or about me and I wasn't completely aware of it even with just one ear pod on just to stare back at my phone and repeat the actions over and over again until my phone fell from my hand and my mouth fell agape at the sight, or should I say masterpiece right in front if me, more than it did when I first walked in here.
On reflex, Max caught my phone and was about to use it to hit my head for being such a clumsy ass, only to see me staring at something particular and trace my line of vision and plaster his classic smirk on his face.
Right in front of my eyes was Wyatt, wearing velvet pants, a white collar long sleeve button down shirt that had at least two buttons undone, with a Rolex on one of his hands and a matching velvet vest slung across his shoulder with the other as he was walking down the stairs.
-3rd Person POV-
She just froze her movement entirely, with her breath hitching in her throat seeing him formally dressed and looking so hot with his messy hair still messy.
Max chuckled to himself after noticing what was happening with his sister, knowing he would definitely use it against her later. He snapped his fingers in front of her eyes breaking her out of her trance and making her eyes widen because she had just realized that Max had been staring at her while she was eating Wyatt up.
She dared to blush out of embarrassment only to look away from her brother and think hard of a lie she would have to make up later so he won't tease her with it. Max swiftly removed the bands holding Ava's hair up, making her natural long curls be set loose and fall beautifully around her shoulder getting a scowl as a response from her.
Not long after, both Mr. Miller and Freda came downstairs all dressed up. Freda wore the exact same dress as her Mom but in Velvet and Mr. Miller just like his son but Turquoise with his hair not as messy.
Dinner was ready just in time, and Wyatt being a gentleman offered to show the Hayes the way to the dining room. As they all sat down, every single person in Wyatt's family kept their phones away, either face flat on the dining table right in front of them, or straight into their pockets.
Max and Ava sat next to each other with Freda directly opposite Max, and Wyatt directly opposite Ava, just like the dinner at their place.
Wyatt was obviously staring at Ava from his side of the table, making Ava look away from him, trying to avoid eye contact to the best of her ability which didn't last long once she felt a hand on her thigh from underneath the table, knowing once that he was the one and at the same time wondering how his hand could reach her from all the way over there just to see him smirk in victory for finally getting her to look at him properly in the eye for the first time after his last statement to her.
-First person POV-
Dinner went by so fast, once Mom was done with her food, she stood up as if she was about to announce something.
"Ava," Mom started, getting my attention instantly as she continued. "I know you really wanted to go on that 2 week long field trip, and I know you were very bummed when both your Dad and I declined your request," She said, stressing the word request.
"Well, we changed our minds, you're free to go, we signed and submitted your permission forn this morning, just make sure you always call us everyday," Mom said catching me off guard, making my eyes water from the joy I was feeling.
"And one last thing okay?" She continued making me slightly tilt my head in confusion with tears still welled up in my eyes wanting the dam holding it back to break.
"Make sure Wyatt is with you wherever you go, if you're alone or not, if you're in the mood to talk or not, if you're not feeling too well, or anything at all, Wyatt has to be with you throughout the whole trip, and if possible, the both of you should share a hotel room, Okay?" Mom gave her conditions making me smile even though I wasn't fond of the idea of having Wyatt and I share the same hotel room.
I dared not pass Wyatt a glance because I knew his smirk would've grown wider from the news that he'll be with me 24/7.
I walked over to wear her and Dad were sitting and hugged them both in appreciation.
We soon left and went back home so I'll have enough time to pack all my necessities for the trip tomorrow, like my clothes, my tooth brush, my shoes and some other things I would be taking with me just in case.
After I finished packing my suitcase, I put it aside and jumped on my bed knowing this is going to be the last time I'll be on it for the next 2 weeks. I couldn't stop myself from blushing as I remembered what Wyatt wore, and I couldn't stop my face from turning red at the thought of us sharing the same hotel room.
'It wouldn't be a bad idea.' I thought to myself, making me bite my lip at my stupidity. I'm trying to avoid him, so if he and I share the same hotel room how will that be possible?
Sometimes I'm just stupid.
I just hope for the best.
