It's been a whole day since Wyatt made that confession?
I don't know what to call it, but it made me feel so uncomfortable.
I already swore off all relationships after what Evie did to me with Johnson, and now Wyatt is here claiming all he wants is me?
Nope, I can't do this.
I'm going back to operation avoid Wyatt now, but that's gonna be hard tonight because Wyatt's parents, the Miller's, invited us over for dinner as a thank you for doing it for them when they newly arrived.
Then, I'm gonna look as unattractive as I can.
Today is Friday and that means after today is the field trip I won't be able to attend because my parents believe it's 'too unsafe for me to go alone'.
Pfft, as if
Right now I just got back from school and I'm searching my closet for a very plain dress and plain heels so he won't think of me the way he does currently.
Eureka
I found it.
It's a simple frilly burned orange dress with a matching headband, and dandelion petals around the sides. Immediately my eyes fell on it I fell in love.
I picked block hills with it and sat down in front of my vanity.
"How should I style my hair?" I asked aloud, only for me to feel a hand on my shoulder. Out of shock I jumped on my seat only to see my Mom smiling gingerly at me.
"What happened Mom?" I asked confused and a little freaked out by the unusual smile on her face.
"Oh nothing, I just wanted to help you out with your hair that's all." She said, excitement dripping off her tone, making me a bit more relaxed.
I sat up on my chair and let my Mom move her hand freely in my long brunette hair. She took out a couple of hair bands from the drawer on the vanity table and spun my chair around so I'd be facing her properly.
She picked up my hair brush and began brushing my hair tenderly while her smile kept growing wider by the passing second.
She Packed my hair into pigtails, went into my makeup drawer and took out my blush brush and some other makeup tools.
Mom really loves makeup so I'm definitely sure my 'go looking simple' strategy is already ruined but screw it.
When Mom was finally done, she turned my chair back to my vanity and my mouth fell agape. My makeup gave 'Future Prom Queen' and definitely not 'plain beauty'.
I looked at Mom through the vanity and saw her smiling wider than usual. I stood up and gave her a tight hug as a thank you and was about to start crying but she stopped me.
"Don't start crying now Ava, or you'll ruin your makeup." She said playfully making me choke a laugh between the tears.
And with that Mom walked out of my room leaving me with my thoughts.
"I look so pretty." I said out loud.
"Yeah, you sure do." I heard a voice behind me say. I turned around only to see Max right by my door, leaning on the wall with his arms crossed over his chest.
"You ready to go? You know I can't leave without my sidekick." Max said playfully making tears brim in my eyes one more time making him walk over to my and gently wipe away my tears.
"Yeah I'm ready, let's go."
