It's been about 5 years since me and Ruby last spoke. After I told her about Zoe she said she didn't want anything to do with me. She's now engaged and set to marry in the fall. As for me I've moved into my own house with my girlfriend of 2 years and now Zoe is moving in with us soon. I hate I couldn't spend the rest of my life with Ruby but if she couldn't except my daughter she couldn't except me.
Just kidding this is what really happened......
"Wait what?" She asked making me regret what I just said
"I have a six year old daughter named Zoe."
"What? But... I thought you came out at 13. I'm confused how do you have a daughter."
"I.....i.....i...." I started stuttering and my chest started tightened and it felt like I couldn't breathe
"Madison, hey calm down. Look at me."
"I....i......i......" I couldn't calm down I felt like I just fucked up even worse than with Zoe
"Look at me. I still love you." She confessed staring me in my eyes
I slowly started feeling my body going back to normal
"You do?" I finally managed to ask
"Yes, now can you please explain I just want to know, I'm not mad just curious."
"So, you know how I said I was a party girl and I hooked up with a lot of people, well when I was 16 I was invited to this party. There was a lot of drinking and there was this one girl I had been eyeing all night so after I downed a couple of shots, I thought I was cool enough to talk to her so I did and we were just talking and out of nowhere she asked me if I had ever had a threesome which I hadn't and then she asked me if I wanted to and since she was a senior and I was a sophomore I thought it would be the best night of my life but before we went up stairs she made me take a couple of more shots then we went up stairs we were making out when her boyfriend came in and you can kinda use your imagination for the rest."
"So you were in a threesome with a girl and her boyfriend and you ended up pregnant? How come Sasha and Aliyah don't say anything about this?"
"Because they don't know, the only people that know are my parents well and now you."
"How did you hide you were pregnant from them didn't they see you at school?"
"My mom thought it would be better for me to be home schooled."
"How did Zoe end up in New York?"
"She's here with her Dad and step - mom they said since I was still in high school they would take care of her until I felt I was ready to take care of her myself."
"So are you going to visit her while your here?"
"I don't know I thought about it but I don't think I can do it, it's like I don't think I'm ready to face reality. What if she hates me for leaving her?"
"I highly doubt she'll hate you. But you came here to see her, so you're going to see her."
"I don't think I can." I started to cry
"Yes you can and you're going to, I'm not going to let you leave her without seeing her. Even if that means I have to go there with you, you're not leaving until you see her."
"Ruby I can't ask you to go with me, this isn't your problem it's mine."
"Well while we're together your problems are my problems and my problems are your problems as I think you kinda sensed after the incident on the plane."
"Ruby I love that you're okay with me having a daughter and that you support me but I think this is something I need to do on my own."
"Okay I won't go as long as you promise me you will."
"I promise." She smiled
I pulled out my phone and stared at it debating if I really want to go through with this. I scrolled through my contacts until I got to Erick's name then I just stared at the phone it was like I was frozen
"I don't think I can do this." I turned and told her
"Yes you can." She assured me while wiping my tears
"I can't what if I get there and she doesn't want to talk to me?Or she says she hates me?"
"Then we'll leave but I doubt she hates you."
"We'll leave, I already told you that you don't have to go."
"I know what you told me but I'm telling you that I'm going. It's like a support thing I won't interfere with what happens I'll just be there as your support system."
"I guess I can't talk you out of this."
"No you can not. You're stuck with me."
I smiled and kissed her lightly then looked back down at my phone and clicked on Erick's contact then pressed call then put it on speaker.
"Hello" he answered after the second ring
"Hey." I faintly responded
"You okay?" He asked
"Ummm yeah I ummm ummmm was umm." I stuttered
"I was in New York and I was wondering if I could come and see Zoe?"
"Of course you can why would I stop you from seeing your daughter. She has dance practice tomorrow from 9 to 1 but you could come by after."
"Okay, umm could I stop by like 3?"
"That's fine, and you sure you wanna do this you said you would come by once before and I told Zoe and she got really excited then you didn't show up. So before I go tell her you'll be here are you absolutely sure."
I didn't say anything I just looked at the phone
"She'll be there I'll make sure of it." Ruby told him
"Madison who was that?"
"My girlfriend."
"Oh well hi Madisons girlfriend I'm gonna hold you to it that you get her here tomorrow."
"You have my word she will be there tomorrow."
"Okay well I'll see you tomorrow. I'll text you the address."
"Okay see you tomorrow."
