"What's your favorite breakfast?" I asked Zoe
"Omelette with spinach, onion, and mushroom"
"Wow.... that's all I used to eat when I was pregnant with you...."
"Mom said she use to make them for you all the time."
"Yeah she did... they weren't better than mine though." I smiled going to get everything out of the fridge
"Wanna see something cool..." I asked getting ready to attempt to flip the egg using the skillet
"Yes!"
"Okay I haven't do this in a long time so no laughing if I mess up." I smiled and grabbed the skillet handle
"One, two, three!" I yelled as I have the skillet a light toss make the egg go airborne briefly
"You did it!" Zoey yelled asi managed to catch most of the egg in the skillet
"Told you I cold.." I smiled returning the skillet go the stove
"Come on you can add your spinach, onion, and mushroom" I smiled
While she added her vegetables to her omelette I cracked the egg to make mine. I was not successful in the egg flip when it came to my own omelette covering the floor in half cooked egg
As we were finishing breakfast and fixing plates Ruby came around the corner smiling
"Good morning something smells good."
"Yeah.... I need to talk to you." I smiled and pulled her into the room as Zoe ate
"Sasha and Zoe heard last night..." I said closing the room door
"Well I told you to be quite..." she laughed
"Very funny... we were almost walked in on by a six year old."
"Okay... I won't touch you again until Zoe's gone that way it won't happen again." She grabbed my hands and started into my eyes looking for me to be okay with this
"Okay." I agreed like a dumb ass
Wait what? That's like 2 months from now.
After eating breakfast Zoe and I got ready to go. I didn't really know what to do I mean I don't really know what she likes or doesn't like....... god I sound like a terrible mother, I mean guess i cant even really call myself a mother... I'm more like a surrogate that sends her a birthday and Christmas gift every year and I've been saying I'm going to visit her for the last few years but always chicken out at the last minute..... and now shes here and so after hours of thinking about what to do I took the easy way out and packed us lunch and a snack for a day at the beach... but of course her father didn't pack her bathing suit like who doesn't pack a bathing suit when going to California in the summer.... so we have to go and buy one.
"What do you have planned for the day?" Ruby asked as I got dressed
"Picnic day at the beach... I didn't really know what to do so i was gonna just kinda play it by ear take a couple of bored games... hope she doesn't hate it..." I frowned explaining what i had planned to Ruby feeling like it was not good enough
"Shes gonna love it..." she smiled and kissed my forehead
"And I got a casting call and a meeting with my manager so I'll probably be gone when you get back."
"Okay... actually..."
"You don't want Zoe to have to share the sofa bed with Dez I guess I can spend the night at home..." she interrupted
"I was gonna say could you bring in something to eat whenever you come home but okay... I'm pretty sure Dez is gonna be at Aliyah's for the rest of the time he's here... but if you want to stay here I get that but don't make it seem like it's my fault." I snapped
"Madison... I didn't mean it like that..." she started
"It's fine Ruby.... sleep wherever you want.... I gotta go." I rolled my eyes and walked out of the room
"Ready to go?" I smiled and asked Zoe
"YES!" she screamed
"Okay we have to make a stop before we get where we're going okay."
"Whats your favorite color?" I asked cranking the car
"Pink"
"Pink is a pretty color.... purple is better though.." I smiled
"Purple is pretty too but its not pink so..."
"Where are we going?"
"Its a surprise." I smiled

I cut the radio up and let her sing her heart out while I ended up thinking about arguing with Ruby before I left.
Okay so I may have over reacted a little.... I couldn't help it I was extremely nervous I'm a lash out under pressure type of person I know it's not good and I'm working on it.... great now I feel shitty and nervous.... ugh... why am I such a shitty person.... my thoughts where interrupted when my phone chimed.... it was a text from Ruby.... I was to nervous to look at it but nervous to not and........ great I missed the fucking turn.... I've gotta get my shit together.
