"Well....."Aliyah started
"When I first met her I thought she was beautiful but she was my sister's best friend so.... you know gross..." Dez started causing everyone to laugh
"But then I found out she was only 2 years older than me.... so she had brains and beauty.... but I pushed the thought to the back of my head because I figured she would never give me a chance...." he paused to look at Aliyah which caused him to turn redder than a tomato
"But then one day she came over and I was feeling myself so I tried talking to her found out she was even better than I thought so I started my plan to be able to call her my own... took a little longer than I had plan but eventually she opened up to me...."
"Yeah she did...." I added causing Aliyah to blush
"And the last time she came to visit she really opened up to me and I decided to go ahead and make it official."
"Wait so how long have you two been dating officially?"
"Officially........almost 8 months." Dez rubbed the back of his neck nervously and tried go speed past the almost 8 months part
"Almost 8 that's close to 9 months that's like carrying a child you two basically had a child..... we're y'all every gonna tell me?"
"NO!!" They yelled in unison
"Why not?" I asked confused as to why my brother and best friend felt they couldn't tell me they were dating
"We didn't want you to flip out and forbid us from seeing each other." Aliyah explained
"I would not do something like that." I scoffed
I looked around the table to see everyone making a 'oh but you would' face as I saw the waitress coming to the table with our food
"I don't know why everyone is looking at me like that..." I started the conversation back up after the waitress left
"Because you know that you would've flipped out if we told you sooner.... you just said we basically had a child..." Aliyah responded
"Yeah but that's just because he's....." I started
"He's your little brother and you don't want him to get hurt.... I know that Madison you've told me that since we first met"
"Not just that you're one of my best friends I don't want you hurt either."
"And I'm not gonna hurt her and I trust her to not hurt me..." Dez rubbed Aliyah hand
"I won't.... I promise." She smiled and kissed him
"Ewww...."
"You sound jealous" Aliyah smiled
"I can help with that..." Ruby smiled
Before I could asked what she meant there was a tongue in my mouth that wasn't my own
"Y'all can get a room if y'all are gonna be doing all of that." Aliyah laughed
"Shut up." I laughed
The rest of the dinner was pretty uneventful we just talked about a little of everything then as we were getting ready to head back home Dez hit me with the most expected question of the night
"Would you mind if I spent the night at Aliyahs place?" He asked pulling me to the side
"Why?" I asked as if I didn't know
"We both know why." He smiled
"Sure Dez just don't get her pregnant." I laughed as he went to go and share the news with Aliyah
"What's he so happy about?" Ruby asked as we climbed into the car
"He's spending the night at Aliyah's"
"You're allowing that?"
"They haven't seen each other in like 3 months.... better her bed than my sofa"
We both looked at each other and laughed
"Thanks for dinner by the way." I smiled and kissed her before laying my head on her chest
"You're welcome and sorry we couldn't get dessert.... next time it'll just be us though.... I love you're brother and best friend and all but we haven't been..." Ruby started
"Been on a date yet" I sat up
"Yeah" she said sounding a little disappointed
"Baby it's okay we'll go on a just us date soon." I smiled as we pulled up home
I pulled out the sofa bed for Zoe to sleep on since the love birds won't be here for the night and talked to Sasha a little about double date night while waiting on Ruby to get out of the shower. After my shower I climbed in bed with Ruby thinking she was sleep..... she was not
"What are....are....are....fuck!!!" I moaned
"Shhh....before you wake the rest of the house. I wanted dessert before I went to sleep." she smiled

I woke up to my alarm screaming, I rolled over and cut it off when I felt Ruby wiggling I thought she was waking up but nope she was just getting more of the cover. I took that as my que to get up and take a shower I got ou and started fixing breakfast when a bright eyes Zoe bounced in the kitchen
"Good morning...." she smiled
"Good morning sunshine did you sleep good?"
"Yes.... did you sleep good?"
"I did."
"Did you have a bad dream because I heard you scream?"

"You heard a scream?" I asked hoping that isn't what she just said
"Yeah I was about to check on you but Auntie Sasha said that you were probably just having a bad dream but that Miss Ruby would make sure you were okay."
Nope she said what I thought she said....well this is awfully embarrassing and I'm not sure how to really answer her question because I don't wanna lie but I damn sure don't want to explain what was actually happening so I did the best thing I could do
"Do you wanna help me make breakfast for everyone?" I asked avoiding her painstakingly awkward question
"Yes. Yes...yes" She smiled and jumped up and down
"Okay well let's wash your hands and get started then." I smiled
