"You're doing what?!?!"Aliyah yelled as I was about to get out of the car
"Its not what you think..... it's simply for the sake of Zoe and her niece and nephew. I'm not some serial cheater I just saw how the kids hit it off and....." I started
"Why you're doing it is not important. What's important is if you're going to tell Ruby about it." Aliyah interrupted as we got out if the car
" I don't know how to but I want to. So I guess I just do it tonight at dinner, which reminds me I need you to watch Zoe tonight."
"We'll watch Zoe if you promise you're going to tell Ruby tonight." Sasha smiled
"I promise now can we stop talking about this and go get stuff we need for lunch?" I asked
They didn't say anything else about the situation for the rest of the time we were out. But it had me thinking how was Ruby going to react to this? Would this be the end of us? My thoughts for interrupted When we arrive back at the house. When we came in Zoe, Ruby, and Dez we're still sleeping. I decided it was best to not wake them and I went ahead and made lunch.
"Lunch is ready..."I whispered in Ruby's ear climbing in bed behind her
"Mmhh..... there is something I would love to eat right now..." She rolled over and smiled
"Maybe after dinner." I gave her a quick peck before climbing out of the bed
"About that...." She sat up rubbing the back of her neck
"What about it don't tell me your canceling on me?" I asked sitting on the bed next to her
"Well..... while you all were gone I was talking to your brother and he wants to go on a double date.... I told him I had to talk to you first soooo..... here we are talking about it....."
I let out a deep sigh then got up to close the door
"If you still want to go out after what I'm about to tell you then sure they can go."
"And what exactly are you about to tell me?" She asked moving a little further from me
"So you know the girl Kiara from Atlanta...?"
She didn't say anything she just nodded yes and moved a little further away
"Well.... ummmm.....I.....ummm...."
At this point she's standing halfway across the room looking like she about to cry. Which really made me feel like a shitty person because I'm pretty sure my next sentence could ruin our entire relationship.
"We're still talking..." I blurt out
She doesn't say anything for a while the room is just full of this awkward silence until finally she said something well I guess does something is more accurate..... she starts laughing damn why was that so hard to explain
"Did I miss something???" I asked annoyed
"I already knew.... I'm glad you told me but Kiara beat you to it."
"Wait.... how?"
"She told Dez she wanted to talk to me... She said she was just talking to you for the sake of the kids and nothing more and she apologized for her involvement with you in Atlanta. Honestly she seems like a cool person. You know besides the fact that she fucked my girlfriend that wasn't my girlfriend fully at the time I don't have a problem with her."
"Really?" I asked as she sat next to me on the bed
"Yeah....after talking to her I'm not really mad anymore she seems like a nice person. And honestly the fact that you told me shows me I can trust you again." She smiled sitting next to me
