Today is my birthday! I'm turning 35!!! We're all still in our new house it's been two weeks since we've been here and I gave birth to little Lukas. We found our routine, Sebastian and I found our own, Leo found his and so did the rest of the family and thank god cause we're all in lockdown for Covid, and god knows how long we will have to be like this...but better safe than sorry!
Anyways since today is my birthday we are having our own little celebration, they have all been so secretive about today, I know yesterday they baked a cake and I was told to not go in the kitchen, which was fine forever me, I pretty much spent the whole day in bed with Lukas and Bear... I'm still healing after the birth so spending a day in bed did sound really nice! Lukas is also doing so good! But, going back to my birthday...they planned a lunch, they cooked all together, so I will be surprised today probably more than once... As of right now I'm still in bed, my husband's orders last night, and I just got done breastfeeding and burping Lukas. "You're awake..." Sebastian whispers walking in our bedroom "Yup, this one was hungry" I say looking down at the baby in my arms From behind his back he pulls out a wonderful bouquet...of flowers growing right outside our property cause yes since everything is closed you can't go to the florist... "Happy birthday baby" he says sitting down on the bed next to me "Thank you!" I say smiling, we kiss a couple of times and then I grab the flowers from him "these are beautiful" "Glad you like them" "I do...so what are we doing today?" "Well we're gonna celebrate you all day long, we're gonna cuddle...whatever you want to do..." "Sounds nice..." "Where do you want to start?" "Taking a shower..." "Ok. I'll be here with Lukas so if you need anything I'll be here" "Thank you babe" "Mhm" He grabs Lukas from my arms and lays on the bed, letting the baby rest on his chest. He watches me as I grab the things I need and go to the bathroom, leaving the door slightly open. I put my hair up in a bun, I washed them last night before bed so they're still good, wash my face with my favorite cleanser, brush my teeth and then get my shower ready. I make sure to have the perfect water temperature and get in. Using all the products my colleagues gifted me on my maternity leave party, which I may say they're all so good and smell amazing! The first thing I do when I get out of the shower is put my underwear and pad on, cause yeah two weeks post birth...then I wrap myself in my towel and finish my skin care routine, applying serum and cream, and the tiniest bit amount of mascara and lip balm. I dry myself off, put some lotion and get dressed.
When I come out of the bathroom I see Sebastian cuddling with both our boys. "Happy birthday mommy!" Leo says jumping down from the bed and coming to hug me "Thank you baby" "I also got a flower for you, grandma G helped me pick it out earlier!" He says giving me two roses "Oh these are beautiful! You're so thoughtful sweetheart" I tell him before bending down to kiss his head. Sebastian and I then change both boys into day outfits and walk downstairs where the rest of the family is. They all wish me happy birthday and hug me before serving me breakfast which consists of waffles and fresh fruit!
As we eat I check my texts, Chris, Chace, Daisy and Brett wrote on the group. Scarlett and Robert wrote me separately and other friends did too. Even tho this birthday will be different cause of Covid lockdown I still feel very lucky to be loved like this by my family and friends!
Comes lunch time, we all sit down at the beautifully set up table and eat the meal, my parents sharing stories of when I was a little girl and we spend the whole meal laughing, Sebastian getting to know new things and cracking up at the things I used to do. "You were something babe" he says after laughing at a particular memory "Yup..." "Cake time?" My mom asks "I think we're all ready...let me just grab Lukas so we can take so pictures" "I got him Alice" Francesco says since he was already standing. He goes grab him in the cot we keep in our living room where he was peacefully sleeping. "Here he comes" he whispers handing him to me "Thanks!" "Sure" With the help of my mom Leo brings the cake to the table, candles lit and all! "Awwww" "I hope you like it mommy" "I love it, did you help too?" "Everyone did their part" Georgeta says "I decorated it with daddy's and auntie help!" He says proudly "It looks really good, thank you so much guys!" I blow the candles out, we take a few pictures before actually cutting and eating it, and yes it was absolutely delicious!

"Are sorry we couldn't get you a gift, but as soon as we're clear to go out we're gonna buy you something!" My dad says "That's right, we're gonna go out and choose something" Georgeta adds "Thank you guys but there's no need, I already have anything I want" I say and move to hug them all "I actually have something, I saw this and bought it for you in February..." Sebastian says handing me a little gift "Oh!" "Go on, open it doll..." he says sitting down next to me on the couch. I gently unwrap the gift finding a velvet box and opening it I find a gorgeous ring "Seb...this is beautiful..." I whisper "It's not the same brand but when k saw it I knew it would match perfectly with the bracelet, necklace and earrings set I got you last year..." "It does! It's perfect. Thank you so much baby" "You're welcome" He grabs it and gently slides it on my finger, perfect size! "Love you" "Love you too birthday girl!"
