A/n I'm so sorry guys for not posting yesterday, my mood was under my feet and I didn't really feel like writing a chapter...Hope you enjoy this one!
*Alice pov*
It's another day in our household, yes my parents, my sister and her boyfriend and Georgeta are still all here and we're all still stuck in the house. The pandemic is so crazy and we're doing our best to stay safe, everyday we talk to our closest friends to know how they're doing and we also pass some time doing that cause things can get boring pretty fast, even when you have a newborn and a six years old... It's a weekday so it means we have online school, Sebastian and I rotate, one day he stays with Leo during his school hour and the day after that I stay with him. I know he told me not to worry about it and that him or my sister would do it but I wanna be present in Leo's school things. It's his first year and we're stuck in the house, I can't imagine how hard this is on him, we're also so lucky cause we have a garden and a little pool that we can use as soon as it gets a bit warmer, and many kids don't have that...
"Ok what subject now?" I ask as I'm sitting on Leo's bed with Lukas in my arms and Sebastian just got in after his post work out shower to get the baby. "Math" Leo says grabbing his book His teacher appears on the screen and says hello to the whole class, they don't waste anytime and pick up where they left yesterday "Did you do your homework?" "Yes!" All the kids answers "Very good, your parents will be sending them to me later so I can see how well you guys did ok?" The kids once again answered to their teacher, and in a moment of silence Lukas started crying, making the teacher look up at her screen "That's my baby brother..." "Oh yeah?" "Mhm, he's probably bored, or needs a change, or maybe he's hungry..." "Do you like having a baby brother Leo?" "Yup! I can't play with him yet, but I love cuddling him and, and I love when I get to help mommy and daddy with his clothes and baths!" He says enthusiastically and it instantly makes Sebastian's and I hearts melt. I look proudly at Leo before handing baby Lula's back to Sebastian so Leo and I can finish with his school day "See you later" Sebastian whispers "Yeah"
*Sebastian pov*
Watching Leo doing his classes is always very interesting and seeing him grow up and learn things little by little is wonderful! When I leave his room I walk downstairs, where I find my in-laws and my mom in the kitchen probably figuring out lunch, while in the living room Francesco is reading and Camilla is painting her nails. "Nice color" I say looking down to her turquoise nails "Thanks!" "Did Alice tell you that she's gonna surprise her students today on their zoom class with her substitute?" "Yes, she's gotta be so excited!" "Yeah, she had promised them she would bring the baby to meet them, but since the circumstances are not allowing a meet in person, she figured she could do it online for the time being..." "That's wonderful, she's really loves those kids" "Mhm...and they love her just as much" "I wish I had a teacher like Alice..." "Me too, my teachers were never bad, but Alice has that something that most teachers don't have..." "Yeah..."
As Leo's classes ended we had a quick snack and then Alice sat down at her computer and I was right behind her. She went on zoom and got ready to surprise her class, she still had the camera off and she's gonna turn it on at her substitute clue for her. "Morning class, how are we doing?" "Bene!" (Good!) they all answer in Italian "Oggi, abbiamo un'ospite..." (today we have a guest...) "Who?" Some ask curiously "Go ahead..." the teacher says and Alice turns on her camera "Hi guys!!!" "Mrs. Stan!!!" They all scream "It's so good to see you again!" "You too!" "How are you?" Another student asks "Good, I hope you're all good too. I decided for now we're gonna keep the conversation in English..." "Thanks, we're too excited to go with Italian now..." "I miss you..." "Awwww" "And as I promised...there's someone you have to meet...Seb" "Hey kids!" I say slowly bring closer to the monitor baby Lukas "everyone meet Lukas!" "Oh my gosh" "He's so cute!" "He looks like Leo" "So tiny!" "As promised..." Alice says "Thank you Mrs Stan" "You guys are welcome...hey do you wanna play a game?" "Yup!" "We're gonna test Sebastian on his Italian, you are going to test him!" "Oooo yes!" "Ok...ok, shoot I'm ready!" I say sitting back down and cradling Lukas against my chest "Let's start easy, how do you say dad..." Emily asks "Papà, I know this is right and I don't get confused with Papa (Pope) anymore!" "Good good, uhm how about...beach?" "Uhm it's spiaggia" I say "A little off with the pronunciation but it's correct..." "Kiss?" "That's bacio" "He's good, you thought him well Mrs Stan!" "Oh thank you" she says laughing "So do I pass?" I ask "Yup" "Thanks!" I watch as Alice interacts with them for about ten more minutes and then closes the zoom call "That was really nice, I miss them!" "I know you do, and they miss you" "Mhm, I'm happy they got her as my substitute, she's really good" "They've got a good one...not as good as you tho..." I whisper "Charmer..." "Mhm..."
