I hadn't expected the twins to come so quickly, but when they told me that they would be here in fifteen minutes, I decided to hurry to the lobby and out the building doors to wait for them. Sure enough, I wasn't left waiting long. Almost fifteen minutes- on the dot- since hanging up the phone with Eric, a rather pricy looking car pulled up along the curb and the back door opened.

"We have come to escort the lady." Joked Greyson, sliding out of the back seat and holding the door open for me with a fake little bow. Despite my sorry state, I couldn't help but smirk at his antics.

Bending down I looked into the red car and saw Eric seated on the other side, winking at me with a grin. Surprised, I looked to the front and was shocked to see Carson, the strong, brown haired guild master of the Chaos Guild smiling at me through the rear view mirror. Sitting in the passenger's seat next to him was the rather bored and dangerous looking healer: Aiden.

"Sorry..." I said, sliding into the vehicle so that I was now between the twins, Greyson snapping the door shut a second later. "I didn't mean for all of you to come..."

Carson laughed. "Not to worry, I'm the one who took those terrors' licenses from them, so the least I could do was lend a hand. Aiden just tagged along since he had nothing to do."

"Good Morning." Said the healer, glancing over his shoulder at me with that dangerously suave smile of his. I literally could not tell if he was being flirtatiously friendly, or if he was wondering what the back side of my spleen looked like. If I believed half the things the twins had told me since I started spending time with them, then the latter was more likely.

"Morning..." I said hesitantly. I didn't mind them coming at all, but I hadn't wanted to bother more people with all my problems. "You had your licenses taken away?" I asked Eric, confused. I honestly hadn't even known they had them in the first place.

Carson snorted, adjusting his mirrors before pulling back onto the street. It wouldn't take us very long to get to the Center this early in the morning, before the truly heavy traffic set in. "I don't know how they got them in the first place. It would be safer to have a damn dragon roaming the streets than either of those two behind a wheel..."

"We are excellent drivers." Greyson huffed, slinging an arm over the back of my seat and glaring at his guild master.

"No, you are not. Speed limits are called 'limits' for a reason, and yellow lights are not a challenge to see if you can make it before it turns red."

I couldn't help but chuckle. Having them around was already making me feel a little better. Still, no matter how horrid, and street-racer like, the twins were behind a wheel, I was sure they were not as big a disaster as myself. I had to give up driving after I awoke <Broken>. It was like playing Russian Roulette every time I wanted to go get the shopping. The number of times I nearly died was crazy.

As we drove, the Chaos Guild kept the mood light with small talk, while I did my best to seem 'normal'. I could tell I wasn't doing the best job of it though, considering the twins kept exchanging worried glances over my head. I probably should have just told them what had happened, and that I was now a Depraved. If anyone wouldn't bat an eye over it, it may have been them. But, somehow, telling these two that I was now a killer...

A shiver ran over my body as the echoes of that woman, melting in the lava, reverberated in my head once more.

"You all right?" Asked Eric in an uncharacteristically gentle voice. His significantly larger hand took mine and I could tell immediately that my fingers must have been ice cold.

"Oh... ah, yeah. Just nervous..." I lied, feeling horrible. I should just tell them. Why couldn't I just tell them?

"I'm sure there is nothing to be upset about." Stated Aiden. He hadn't said much since his initial greeting, and now was looking me over dispassionately from the front of the car. "You are already registered as a No-Star, right? Then you can only go up from there."
