Sakura woke up to angry knocking on her door. She wasn't sure what time it was but she knew it couldn't have been time to get up yet. Begrudgingly, she forced herself out of bed, determined to stop the annoyingly loud noise.

Yanking open her door, she was surprised to find an angry Sasuke standing there. Rubbing her eyes and yawning, she gave him a questioning look, waiting for him to say something.

After a a long moment of silence, she began to speak up. "Sasuke..? Wha-"

"Why? Why were you with him?!" He asked enraged, not sounding like himself at all.

Sakura raised her eyebrows at him confused, still too tired to realize what he was saying. It dawned on her soon enough and a slight blush rose on her face, making her realize he must had heard her surprisingly through the thick stone walls.

He didn't seem to want to wait for her answer. Pushing past her into her room, he tossed his hands up in exasperation.

"Why?! Don't you know who he is? He's a cold hearted killer! He killed our family, our entire clan!"

Sasuke was bewildered. He was going on and on, rambling and pacing back and forth.

"You've hated the Akatsuki since day one! You were the last person I ever imagined to do this.. Why? I don't see why! Why'd you come here, to be with me or to hurt me?"

That last part struck home with Sakura and made her chest hurt. She bit her lip, not knowing if anything she could say or do would help in this situation anyway. He was too upset to listen to reason it seemed, he had completely lost his cool.

Soon, he stopped pacing and turned away from her so she couldn't see his face. His fists were still clenched, and his shoulders slightly shook, but he seemed to regain some of his composer.

"Well..?" He asked so quietly, she was surprised she even heard him.

Moving forward, she took his clenched hand in hers and held it tightly. Leaning her forehead on his shoulder while still behind him, she sighed sadly.

"I'm sorry Sas-"

"No! Don't tell me you're sorry!" He said irritatedly, with a hint of sadness hiding in his voice. "Just answer my question."

It took her a minute to gain to courage to speak, even though when she did it was only a whisper. "You know I came to be with you.. I never wanted to hurt yo-"

"Then WHY?" He shouted, turning around and grabbing her shoulders angrily.

She started to lose her patience. Brushing his hands off her shoulders, she clenched her jaw and tried to remain calm with him.

"He's not mean to me, he saved me from Sasori the first time I met him. He introduced me to his friends. He made me feel welcome, unlike other people.." She replied, quietly letting her last sentence trail off. "And it's not like I slept with him.." She continued, leaving out he part that she secretly wanted to at the time.

Sasuke looked a bit surprised at that but decided to trust her regardless. "Do you know why neither Sasori or I were at breakfast the next morning?? I was returning to my room when I heard Itachi and Sasori talking in your room, and I realized what had happened. Do you honestly believe I'd just let that pass?? I took care of it. All Itachi did was threaten him. And I don't welcome you here because I know you don't want to be here, you just want to be with me! Do you know how guilty that makes me feel, taking you away from your home, your family and friends? How do you expect me to be okay with that!"

Sakura was at a loss of words. This was a part of Sasuke she had never seen. Never before had he ever opened up to her, let alone even say so many words in one go. He was out of breath from how much energy he was using talking, but he didn't seem to care. Her 'cool guy' Sasuke was gone for the moment, replaced by a crazed Sasuke, devoured by anger. And it was her fault.. She did this him. She never realized how he would take her coming here. She always just hoped he would be happy..
But she was too selfish to leave now.

She couldn't. After years of trying to get him back and failing, this was a plan that actually worked. But, maybe..
She mumbled something incoherently, starring down at the ground.

"What?" Sasuke asked, a bit irritated still.

Sakura sighed and raised her head slightly, starring at his chest now instead of the ground. "Come... come b-"

Sasuke grabbed her chin and raised her head so she was starring at him.

"Say it again, slowly so I can hear you."

She took a deep breath in and closed her eyes for a moment before opening them and starring into his dark, seemingly warm onyx eyes.

"Come.. back with me. To Konoha.. We can.. return together, and.."

Sasukes grip on her chin loosened as she talked, and the remaining irritation in his face draining away to his usual blank expression once again.

"You know I can't do that." He replied calmly.

She met his eyes and forced back her tears, staying as stubborn as he was. "Then you know I can't leave."

He sighed and let his hand drop from her chin. Flustered, he ran both his hands through his hair and starred off behind her in thought.

"Well.. at the very least, I cannot allow you to continue to see Itachi like that."

Sakura was about to say something before Sasuke once again, cut her off.

"Go on a date with me."
