"You know, I never thought I'd see the day where you come to school early just to get away from me." I hear Will say as he comes up behind me.
I immediately get nervous and I try to calm myself down.
"What do you want Will?" I ask as I try to pick up my Geometry book from the bottom of my locker, only to drop it out of nervousness.
I sigh and rub my forehead with the back of my hand because I'm sweating like crazy.
"Nothing." He says as he walks up beside me, looking down at me as I try once more to get my book.
I finally get it and put it in the crook of my arms.
I start to walk away, but he grabs onto my arm, making my navy blue sweater slide down my hand, making it slide off of my shoulder revealing my black under shirt.
I take my arm out of his grip and pull it up in a hurry.
"You said you didn't want anything, why are you still near me?" I ask him again.
He puts his hand on my shoulder and spins me around to face him.
"Why do I have to want something to be around you?" He asks as he looks into my eyes.
He was off today.
Usually he's insulting my families wealth or my appearance, sometimes even my intelligence even though I'm honestly more smart than he is himself.
I look over at his hand that's on my shoulder and he pulls it away, something I didn't know he would do.
"Because that's you. You're the person who has never said a nice thing to me and now you're being nice?" I ask.
"When did I say something nice?" He asks.
More people were crowding the hallways as we stood there by my locker.
I watch as Will notices all the people looking at us including his friends, one of them being Dylan O'Brien, someone I use to fancy.
"Nevermind." I say.
"Just please go away."
I walk into the direction of Dylan and look at the ground like I usually had done when someone I like/use to like walks by. Its technically my way of saying, "I'm not the type of person you like or would want to look at."
I look at the shoes of people making sure I didn't run into anyone, but instead of me doing it, someone ran into me.
Dylan.
I should have seen it coming but I couldn't because my eyes were directed towards the ground.
I went flying backwards and someone was behind me picking me up.
I look back expecting to see my good friend Thomas Sangster but instead its Will.
"I'm sorry." I say to Dylan as I get up with Will's help.
"You should be." He says as he walks away.
I look back at Will and he's looking at Dylan.
"What a dick." He says.
"Thanks." I say to him.
I start walking away again, but he just doesn't leave.
"Are you alright?"
I look over at him and am tempted to feel his head to see if he's feeling alright but I obviously don't do that.
"Are you alright?" I ask directing his question back to him.
He sighs and stuff his hands into his jean pockets.
I didn't realize it by now, but he was on the other side of the hallway, not really, but he might as well be because of how far away he seemed to be.
"If you're ashamed to be seen with me just leave me alone." I say in a rude manner.
I was sick and tired of him in all honesty.
He looks at the pictures of past student on the walls as we walk in sync.
"Listen, I'm sorry for being a jerk to you and all but there really is a reason for it." He says.
"Because you have a broken home, I remind you of someone you hate or am someone you hate?" I ask.
"Or maybe its because you have nothing better to do, or maybe its because you can't pick on someone better looking or more popular than I am?"
"Or maybe its because I like you and needed an excuse to just talk to you." He says.
His words catch me so off guard that I just stop mid walk while he continues to walk.
After a while he realizes that I stopped and he looks back at me.
My mouth drops open and I get occasional shoulder checks by people who want me to move.
He starts to move towards me but in an instant I turn around and walk the way I came.
"Woah, woah, woah. What are you doing?" He asks as he runs up beside me.
"I feel sick." I say lying.
"You look sick." He says while laughing like he use to after he insulted me in the past, but I knew he didn't mean it now.
"There's the unkind comment you expected, now for a good one. You look great today."

A/N
To be continued
With a part 2 {+} (maybe)
I thought I'd make him a use-to-be dick instead of a now-and-then dick.
So, please enjoy this and the second part that I will (maybe/probably) publish directly after this one.
