Chapter 53

{ ok quick little question. Can you all see the cover of the book still? Every time I add a chapter it says I need to add a cover aswell. I was just wondering :) }

It's 23 minutes after midnight and everyone has left, finally.

I helped Adam clean up the house and yard. The most difficult thing to do was taking down the flag. I told him it was going to be a pain in the ass but no, let's put it up anyway. Adam decided to just pull the flag from the bottom middle and it tore in the middle. So then he decided to go for the corners and that worked. It worked well until he realized that the duct tape didn't want to come off. He had to pull the ladder back out and use a spatula to get the tape of the house.

I told him it was a bad idea.

By the time we finished cleaning up it was 1 in the morning. I was exhausted and I could tell Adam wanted to pass out. I probably could fall asleep standing up at this point.

I sat down on the edge of the pool, letting my bare feet soak in the water. The water was warm like bath water. I watched as the water rippled due to the wind, causing my feet to distort.

"Wanna take a swim?" Adam walks up from behind and takes a seat next to me. He dips his feet in like I did.

"That would be nice but it's a little late for that."

"Yeah that's true. Do you have your phone on you?" He asks.

"Why? Don't you dare push me in." I give him a hostile look.

"No I wouldn't do that! I just want to know what time it is."

"Oh well I would tell you but I don't have my phone on me. I know it's past 1."

"Oh okay, thanks anyways." He wraps both of his arms around me, giving me a comforting hug. Too bad it didn't last though.

Before I knew it I was underwater, pushing Adam away from me. "What the hell Adam?! You said you wouldn't push me in!"

"I didn't push you in, I pulled you in!" He laughs, wiping his wet hair out if his face.

"You're an asshole." I glare at him and begin to swim to the shallow end of the pool.

"But you still love me." I can tell he has a smirk on his face even though I'm swimming away from him.

I don't reply but just smile. I can't deny it. I still love him but he's still an asshole.

I hear him swim towards me. When he finally reaches me he wraps his arms around me from behind. "I love you too," he says. He places his head on my right shoulder, holding me closer.

I look to my right, my eyes meeting his. He let's go from my waist and moves his hand up to my cheek. He leans forward and our lips collide. The kiss grows deeper and more passionate.

"I KNEW IT!"

We break apart and look behind us. We find Tommy pointing at us, his mouth open.

Dammit.

"I knew that you guys were together." He shouts.

"Can you not shout? And we aren't together," Adam defends.

"Really... Your gonna tell me that you all aren't together after I watched a full make out session? And besides you all were horrible at hiding it. Always together. You both smile brighter when you're around each other. Adam doesn't shut up about you," he points at me. "And don't get me started about how protective he is over you."

We stays quiet knowing that there's no way to lie out of this.  "Yeah but the thing is Tommy... We really are not together. I'm not Adam's girlfriend. He's not my boyfriend." I tell him.

"Well then why were you making out?"

"Because we do what we want," Adam says as he grows with anger.

"Well you know what, your dirty little secret is safe with me." He zips his lips and throws away the key.

"Why are you here anyway? You left like an hour ago."

"I left my wallet here and I was coming back to get it cause it's kinda important," he explains. "Well I'll let you love birds enjoy your time. Bye guys." He turns around and walks back into the house.

I look over at Adam and start laughing at how we got caught. At least it was by Tommy instead of Adam's mom. That would've been very awkward.

{ Sorry this is kinda short. To be honest I forgot to write another chapter so I'm currently writing this at midnight. Lol.
