{Oh my lord. I am so sorry for not updating in like 2 weeks. I've been extremely busy with school (I had 3 projects in 3 different classes!) and then Halloween and ugh business. But this is kinda long and I should update again pretty soon so yeah... Enjoy :) }

I wake up to the sound of someone knocking on my bedroom door. I sit up and wonder if was my imagination. I could just be hearing things.

But then I heard it again and it was louder. The harsh sound startled and I called out, "Adam?" I heard no response.

Well maybe he's just sleep walking. Wait... Adam's never sleepwalked before. Well except for in his songs but that doesn't mean he actually sleep walks. Besides, I've lived with him for 4 months and he's never sleepwalked before. Or maybe he just only does it upstairs in his room and his mind decided to come downstairs today.

Okay, Skyler just open the door.

I look at my clock on my bedside table and it reads 3:23 AM. Odd but okay.

I get up and feel the cold hard wood floor beneath me. I walk over to the door, the sound of my feet hitting the floor fills the room. I go to grab the knob but my body freezes up with fear.

Come on Skyler. You'll be fine.

I grab the door knob and twist it. I pull it open and there's nothing. There's no one there. I peak my head out if my room and I still see no one.

I shrug my shoulders and step back into my room. I close the door and I go to turn around until I hear a voice.

"I'll change your life forever," they say in a familiar Finnish accent. I quickly turn around and find a horrifying scene.

Laying on my bed was my friend Alexis, surrounded in a pool of blood. Her skin was paler than usual. Her body was sprawled in an awkward, life less way.

I look back to Sauli is standing to my right. He's casually leaning against my wall, twirling a knife around play fully.

"I guess you didn't believe me that I could change your life. You naïve fool. You think you own the world but you are an ignorant little girl. You should've known better Ms. Nicole," he says with a smirk.

As if the horror wasn't bad enough, I hear someone walk through my bathroom door. Luckily it was just Adam. Wait... Adam is in danger! Sauli might kill him aswell.

"Ada-" before I could even say a word he interrupted me.

"Hey babe." He walks towards the door and I expect him to end up by my side but he doesn't. He walks up to Sauli and plants a soft kiss on the small spot behind Sauli's ear. He backs away but wraps his arms around his shoulders, pulling him into a hug.

"I've missed you so much. I knew that you didn't mean it when you cheated on me. I still love you," he says. Adam leans his head onto Sauli's shoulder.

"I've missed you too babe," Sauli says. He looks up at Adam and their eyes meet. Adam begins to lean forward, cupping Sauli's check with his hand. Just as their lips are about to meet Sauli speaks up, making their lips brush against each other.

"Don't underestimate me when I say I can change your life forever Ms. Nicole..."

And with that I sit straight up in my bed, panting from fear. I lean forward and drop my head into my hands. Holy shit.

As I wake up more I hear the sound of someone hacking up a lung. Then afterwards I hear a groan. I don't even have to think about it. I know that was Adam's.

I hope he's okay. That sounds like a terrible cough. He must be getting sick.

I get out if my bed and I'm about to check on Adam when I stop myself from twisting the door knob. I notice a thin layer of sweat on my hand from my night terror.

I turn back around and head into my bathroom. I splash water on my face, trying to calm myself. I'm fine.

I finally leave my room. I walk into the kitchen to see Adam eating something at the table. I couldn't tell what it is because he's turned around with his back towards me.

"Hey are you okay? That sounded like a pretty bad cough."

"Oh sorry did I wake you up?" He asks in a very raspy, scratchy voice. He turns around and I stop in my tracks.

"Uh I-It's fine. Are you sick cause your not looking too hot..?" He really doesn't look hot right now. His hair is a mess. His eyes are red and tired.

"I don't know if I'm sick but I know that I feel like dog shit."

"Okay well go sit down in the living room and I'll get you something to eat." I watch as he hobbles over to the living room but he stops before he enters.

"It's a theater room, not a living room," he remarks.

"I don't care Lambert!" I shake my head and find try to find some food in the cabinets. I eventually find a can of chicken noodle soup and decide to heat it up for him. I open it up and empty the contents in a bowl. Then I stick it in the microwave for a minute and thirty seconds, because I had no clue how long to put it in. I basically just guesstimated.

As I wait for the soup to heat up, I listen to Adam cough some more. I cringe at the terrible sound. Finally the microwave rings and I get the soup out. I carry it over to Adam and I ask if he needs anything else. Before he can get out his answer he starts coughing again.

"Do you have some cough medicine?" I ask.

"Um... I think. It'd be in my bathroom," he sniffs.

I leave him with his soup and I head up to his bathroom. I open the door and it gets jammed. I push harder on it and I realize that there's a shirt caught under the door. I pull it out and open the door all the way. I scoff at the pile of dirty clothes behind the door. Boys.

I open up the mirror cabinet thing and start searching for the cough medicine. I find the box for it and as I pull it out it knocks another bottle out. I pick up the bottle that fell out and I look at the label. It's a prescription for sertraline. Isn't that a medication for depression..?

I read more of the label and I find that it's for Adam but it was from 2006. That was almost 10 years ago but he still kept them. There's only a few left... I guess he just wanted to keep them just in case. I never knew he got that bad.

I suddenly hear a knock on the door behind me. It makes me jump and drop the bottle that I was reading. Then me worried of my dream come flooding back to me.

"Did you find any?" He asks in a scratchy voice.

"I uh," I stumble for the box that I haven't even looked at. I look in it and it's empty. "I found the box for it but there's nothing in it. I guess you're out."

I drop the empty box in the trash can next to his toilet. I leave the room to find him leaning against the wall. Even while he's sick he looks charming. It's not fair.

"Why did you even come up here? Your sick and you need to conserve your energy," I tell him.

"I actually don't know if I'm sick or not," he smirks. Someone's feeling a little better.

"Do you want me to hold my hand on your forehead?" I laugh.

"Maybe," he smiles and sways like a child.

I reach up and hold my hand on his forehead. He's a little warmer than usual. "You're a little warm. It's probably just a cold. I'll go to the store and get some medicine. Meanwhile, you need to lay down and rest."

I walk him over to his bed. I point to his phone next to his bed. "Call me if you need anything, okay?"

"Okay." He curls up on his side and shuts his eyes. I head for the door until his voice stops me. "Hey wait," he says.

"Yeah..?"

"Thanks beautiful."

"Welcome handsome," I smile and continue out the door.
