Chapter 28

I wake up to the sound of a really annoying bird. It's even worse than a leaf blower at 6 in the morning. You can't tell nature to go away and shut it, it just won't work like that. I roll over onto my side and find Adam staring at me. How long has he been watching me..? Creepy Adam...

"The bird wake you up?" He asks and I nod in response.

"Damn birds are worse than the leaf blowers! Sometimes I just wanna go outside and throw some rocks at them!" He adds and I laugh, telling him I had the same thought.

"Well, we are both awake so wanna go outside of the tent?" I question. He shrugs in response and sits up to put his shirt back on. It still kills me to see him without a shirt on but he doesn't need to know that.

I pull my red hair into a side ponytail since I'm too lazy to fix it. Adam puts on his black hiking boots as I put on my boring old Osiris sneakers. We leave the tent to find that the sun is just beginning to rise into the sky.

"It's beautiful out here," I state. Adam nods and smiles in response.

"Yeah it is pretty beautiful... Except for that annoying as bird." He says with a chuckle.

"Well hey, the bird doesn't know any better! It's probably like 'oh damn these humans!'" I say while trying to defend the bird.

"Well I don't care! The bird can shut up!"

"Oh but Adam... What if the bird is physically incapable to stop it's annoyingness?" I smirk, knowing that I'm winning this battle.

"Well... It..." He closes his mouth in defeat.

We link arms as we walk up the hiking trail. We decided to walk the opposite direction than the last time we walked it. Before, the trail had lead us to a large hill with scattered trees on it. This time it was something totally different.

It was an opening that overlooked the city of Los Angeles. It was gorgeous. Since the sun was just coming up the sky had a pink tint to it. The skyline was covered with yellow clouds. The buildings blocked some of sun that was coming up. The whole view was just stunning.

"Wow, I didn't know that the City of Angels could be so beautiful," says Adam who is just as dazed as I am by the view.

"There is only one way that this could get any better," I say as I start to walk back, away from Adam. I keep going until I can see him and the city covering the horizon. I raise my arms and create a box with my hands. "Now that is perfection."

Adam just chuckles and turns his attention back the view. I walk up to him but before I reach him he turns around and greets me. He grabs my hands pulls me around to where the sunrise is on my left and on his right.

"Hey beautiful," he states.

I smile and reply back," Hi handsome."

"I don't understand how someone this perfect has never been noticed before." He says while moving his hands to my waist. I move my hands to his shoulders. He leans forward a bit and plants a kiss on my forehead. The happiness last for moment until Lee ruins it.

"Adam and Skyler, sittin in a tree. K.I.S.S.I.N.G." He says while walking up the path. Adam leans back and I can't help but laugh. I watch Scarlett elbow Lee but I glance over at Adam. The sight amazes me... He is blushing.

"Is Adam Lambert blushing?!" I say in a teasing tone.

"I-uh no." He turns away, clearly embarrassed.

"Dammit, where's my phone when I need it," I say. Adam just shrugs but he keeps his face away from me. I pull him with me as I walk towards the Cherry's.

"I noticed you guys weren't in your tent so I decided to find you," Lee admits. He turns back to Scarlett who is holding Riffs hand. We start to walk down the trail and Adam adds on.

"Well thanks for your concern. I really appreciate it."

We make it back to our tents and decide to pack up so we won't get stuck in traffic. We put everything into the cars and leave the park. We follow the Cherry family to an In N Out place. Adam was totally against eating "fast food" but I was totally with eating "delicious food". We arrive and I order a burger for me and large fries for Adam and I to share. We try to find a seat near the back so no one will notice the famous people I'm with. We chat about odd topics, varying from different shoe sizes to Television prices. How we got such random ideas... I'm not sure.

We say our goodbyes once everyone is finished eating. We decide to take a group photo before we leave.
We get someone in the restaurant to take the picture for us so we could all be featured. They have Riff and I sit while the others stand behind us. The polite lady that took the picture let us see if it was alright. We all agreed that it was good enough. In the picture Riff wasn't looking at the camera and Adam was making a goofy face because he wasn't ready. Other than that it was a perfect picture.

We said our final farewells and set off.
