Chapter 65

I hesitate to answer the call. But I figured why not. I'll let the last voice I hear be one of the people that I hate but love the most.

"Hello," I say in a slow, depressed tone.

"Hey Adam, I was just wondering how you were doing?"

"I'm fine," I say as I hide my feelings like many times before.

"Okay well I'm here if you need me," he says.

"No your not. You're all the way in London." I say in an irritated tone.

"I meant like you can call me you dork," he laughs. "But I'm actually here in L.A."

"Wait... You're where now?" I ask.

"In Los Angeles... Is the line breaking up?"

"Oh no I just heard you wrong. Well I've got to go. Thanks for checking up on me," I say and I hang up.

If he's in LA then either he's lying or the police are. And I seriously don't believe that the police would lie.

When this all started Skyler knew that Sauli was up to no good... But I didn't listen to her... No one did.

I sit down on my bed as everything starts to make sense. All the missing pieces start coming together in my mind.

Sauli is behind all of this. Ever since Skyler confronted him in the mall he's been up to no good. He's hated her since. When he came to the hospital he tried to comfort me but really he just wanted to know if Skyler would come. He wanted to know if she really is that close to me.

When he figured it out he set up a plan. He knew he had to get her while she was alone. She wasn't in school so that wasn't an option. The one day that I got sick is when he did it. Skyler went to the pharmacy to get some medicine and I wasn't there for her.

I dropped the pills and ran out of my bedroom. I threw on random clothes and hurried to the police station. They have to find out about this.

When this all began they looked up Sauli's location. He apparently had left for Finland before this all happened. But it was a round trip ticket for 4 months. It's only been 2 months.

Also, if he just changed his ticket, the police would have been notified. And if they were notified then they should've let me know.

There's definitely something fishy going on here.
