"Gathering."
~
"You can't win!" I heard Hana shouted and Wonwoo's grunt. A glass shattered and they're having a hand to hand fight that got me caught up. Moon suddenly called me, gesturing for me to continue.
"Go." He said and we quickly and quietly ran towards the exit of the kitchen, leading us to a dim hallway and a few doors to enter into.
Moon opened an old oak wooden door and revealed a Library. It was an old Library like in the movies, the shelves were designed into a giant circle and there's a table in the middle of the room. Moon walked towards the shelves and one by one, tapped it.
"What are you doing?"
"Opening the basement." He replied and suddenly, the book the tapped slid down behind the other books, creating a handle and he pulled the shelf to the other side, revealing a dark staircase that leads downwards. I gulped to the sight of the place and Moon pulled his gun out as he slowly trudged his way down. I also pulled my gun and followed him, careful enough not to make any noises but one thing has been irking me ever since the door opened.
I hear ticking noises...
~
As the two slowly walked down the stairs, the ticking noises erupted louder and louder that led Mingyu to think of one thing.
"There's a bomb." Mingyu whispered and Moon didn't responded and continued to walk. Mingyu was nervous, thinking about it more as they reached the last step of the staircase.
Not too far from where he is, he saw a slender figure, chained up to the metal pole in the middle of the room, hair wet, body shaking, mouth swung open and gasping for air and seemed starved for days considering the vast changes his body took.
"Hyung!" Mingyu called and ran towards the body, almost reaching him when he heard a laugh. As evil as he could think of, he looked at who it is and saw Wonwoo, from the back of the metal pole where Jeonghan was tied into. He's pulling Hana who's unconscious, her hair drenched and a big bleeding wound on her head, several bruises on her body was casted and some were healing and fresh.
"Wouldn't you like to see this beautiful gathering... Agent M?" Wonwoo asked and the sound of gun cocking was heard behind Mingyu. He looked back and saw Moon pointing a gun towards him that somehow surprised him. He never expected it, nor saw it coming. After all, Moon wasn't there to help him.
"I expected this plan to be perfectly executed, the moment I heard you flown back here after hearing the news that your brother and your beloved Hana was missing." Wonwoo said and Mingyu's sweat started to drip down as he heard everything. He was betrayed, he was lost, he was desperate but there's nothing he could think of right away because of the sudden turn of events.
He lifted the gun that he was holding and pointed it to Wonwoo. The man was unfazed, even smiling as he saw the desperate look in Mingyu's eyes.
"I shouldn't have trusted you. After all this time, you're working for him!?"
"Apologies, Mr. Kim. It was an order by the highest."
"Why the fuck would you do this to me?!"
"Because..." Moon paused, the gun in his hand still pointed to Mingyu but his mind wanted to put it down instead.
