Months flyby and first time king hwi experience peace, being herself as a woman without fear of getting caught and with some who loves and admire her next to her. Apart from court lady and hong, they hardly had few servants as they wanted to experience a normal life and took on household chores together and of course taking care of her king who expects most of her attention as the baby grows strong inside her. guards are ordered to station in the nearby town, queen mothers trusted guards are closer to their place providing all the supplies.. Everyday goes by quickly and so many memories created between the two. There's nothing much to do around but both king and the queen started doing their own tasks which gave them new meaning of living and insight to their subjects while being dependant on each other as a true family.
"we should make this a tradition and visit here every year after the birth of our child" the queen says as she brushing king hwi hair. "sure, but then I may not be able to be this free later on, wearing women clothes and experiencing true freedom" king hwi take a deep breath. "you don't have to worry, we can come with your cousin and the guard, like a couple date" is she suggesting the cousin and the personal guard are together? king hwi had the same question to which the queen responds "it was not a huge secret back in the palace among servants. you'll be surprised how many secrets exist in a plain sight inside the palace" king hwi chuckles as she does have her fair share of secrets.
Life flyby quickly and with ease creating wonderful memories between the two.. but that's never enough for king hwi, she disguised as a commoner several times into the town and many started recognizing her as a pregnant wife of a merchant and congratulating her that she's very lucky to be pregnant at the same time as the queen and it's becoming a trend as many women wants to give birth same time to celebrate with royal birth. Ladies in shops even gossiped that the king and queen stationed somewhere near that's why they could see some royal guards and wood collectors are restricted to certain part of the woods, oblivion to king hwi presence among them. She enjoyed every interactions, every little aspect of simple folks life, livelyhood and their humble lifestyle.
one day she came across the tutor who recognized her immediately, both are a completely different person now, she's pregnant in women clothing strolling through the streets carefree and him, broken leg and pale as he can be.. it was a world wind, she ran to him and they both couldn't believe their eyes. before they could speak, his name was called out by someone, Shin So-Eun, the noble, kind women who was betrothed to king hwi. As she is who walked slowly towards them.. king hwi saw how she was heavily pregnant as well and recognized that they're actually married. she quickly turns around and walk away before Shin So-Eun could recognize her, with tears rolling down her eyes which cannot be explained.
When she got back to the woods all she can think about is the tutor. Queen recognized something bothering Hwi when enquired all king hwi could do is hold on to her and cry in her arms. this is the first time she has seen her break down and not composed. king hwi slept in her arms exhausted without a word. Queen came to know how she met the tutor in the town earlier.

Next day when king hwi woke up her beloved wife greeted her with relaxed calm look in her eyes, that's not the queen usually, she's either beaming with joy or whining to wake up early in the morning.. when woken up queen says "i have guests waiting for you, why dont you freshen up and meet us outside" king hwi had no clue wants going on but she also knew she owes an explanation on her breakdown last night. when she got out saw the tutor and Shin So-Eun along with queen ha-kyung waiting for her.
As the silence gets louder Queen ha-kyung breaks the tension. "Don't worry tutor has already mentioned your secret to Shin So-Eun and... as you already know, she's noble woman, my friend, she will keep the royal secret intact". So many emotions run through king hwi mind "that's not the most i'm worried about at this time" she responds. "if it's fine with Shin So-Eun, I think maybe you both should have a conversion alone and i get to catchup with my best friend" as queen says king hwi quickly responds "that won't be necessary" to which Shin So-Eun interrupts "well that's a better idea, you both must have many things to talk about, please we insist" she says as she holds on to her friend our queen.
When the room is clear for them to speak king hwi breaks the silence "we looked for you everywhere, we couldn't find you no matter how hard we tried" she almost bursted out in anger towards the tutor. "I'm sorry my.." he stops and collects himself ".., but i don't want to be found, I knew when i heard you recovered and still became a king after killing your own grandfather that i won't do any good being close to you" he was as gentle and elegant with a hint of vulnerability as he always been, "I know my suffering is not as close to what you've been through, now both our life is so different, I don't want to come between that" before king hwi could respond he also says "you've always been the strongest one and i'm sure you will protect the kids and i will be their tutor and well-wisher just like I've always been to you if you allow me, I won't ask anything more than that i promise" he says with full of love.
King hwi is furious, "yes my kid and i now have someone who always stay by us no matter the hardship" referring to the queen and she knew she was wrong for saying that. "I shouldn't have said that.." he quickly intervene "no, you're right, I never thought I could match upto you, no matter what i did i'm still just a tutor, you saved me more than i saved you" king hwi gets closer as he struggles to get close to her "still you did save me in every way you could" this time her tone was more gentle "even with this child, now my legitimacy is more prominent than ever before because of this child." he smiles "and i want nothing more than that for you.. you deserved to be ruling this country, unlike many kings came before you, your affection to the small folks like us is what making this kingdom a better place."
His kind words are as similar as it used to be and brought smile back to her face and all she could think about in that moment is her queen, who left her in her past lovers presence knowing that she's carrying his child. That moment she realized how much she actually in love with her queen and a bigger smile appeared on her face. The tutor came closer.. "I know this smile is for the queen" he gives a pleasant response, "I'm thankful for Shin So-Eun too, she found me and nurtured me to health even when i rejected her love multiple times in the past, when i don't want to meet you, she insisted she will be fine with whatever decisions i made today. I don't know how we both are so lucky to find each other and someone else who love us more than we ever could love ourselves" and that moment they both knew who they both belong to for the rest of their lives and beyond.
