The Kings Affection (King/Queen - Fanfic)

Chapter 15: The Continuation Ends.

POV: Third Person

King Hwi visit queen ha-kyung and Shin So-Eun outside as they both holding their hands and seems to be upset. king hwi calls out queen ha-kyung, "my queen why don't you help the tutor in the study as i have a word with Shin So-Eun" she says as they both walk towards them. Queen quickly wipes her tears and walks to help the tutor when king hwi noticed her wet eyes and stopped to wipe it for her before she could collect herself. "this won't take long, i'll come back to you soon" she's confused yet walks to attend to the tutor in the study, the place is not that huge.

King hwi walks to Shin So-Eun, "i've always admired you, i knew you were strong and can get through any tough times, that's why i chose you to be my queen but i never knew you were this strong" both pregnant ladies stand next to each other facing the creek that's running. "well, I always thought your virtue and nobility is commendable but after he blurred your secret even in unconscious stage that he wanted to protect you, i know how miserable your life has been in the palace and yet you came out strong and unscathed" she turns towards king hwi "you and him deserve happiness and even if that meant i have to sacrifice mine..  i will because i love him and want to see him happy" the smile escapes from king hwi's face "you're a strong women in deed just like the queen, I knew why i liked you instantly then" Shin So-Eun still confused. 

"Shin So-Eun, my happiness is my queen, I will do no harm to hurt her and truth be told, the tutor actually loves you and want you to be happy, just as the way you feel for him. so you have nothing to worry about, either myself or about him" they both share a glance "but just like how you're close to the queen, he's close to me and I hope you respect our closeness without animosity in the future as both our children grow, .... I want my child to grow with lots of love and people who protect unconditionally in the palace" king hwi wanted to make sure her child is surrounded by joy and family that she was denied growing up. "we will be honoured my king.. uh.." she struggles with how to address her. king hwi smiles "it's fine.. its actually better that way" they both head inside.

Inside the study there's our beautiful queen running towards the king when she saw them walking, as tutor and the queen had their fair share of conversation. Queen ha-kyung hugs her with joy, "I was prepared to spend the rest of my life just thinking about you and our time together" she says as her voice shake and tone goes back to her childish voice with innocence, it is too intoxicating. "again?.." joking king hwi responds "I won't allow it, How can we survive without you by our side" king hwi caress her belly with a smile. and the other couple were hand in hand with each other also witnessed the love and affection king hwi shared with her beloved queen.

A few days passed and due to the queens adamant nature the tutor and Shin So-Eun stayed back with them when late at night they heard herd of horses rushing near their woods. As they all walked out to see there, two men jumped out the horses and ran towards king hwi. "cousin what are you doing here this late without a prior notice?" king hwi asks with concern as she saw her royal bodyguard followed him. "you're in trouble, we heard the wealthy and top politicians who're with your grandfather and against you thought this would be the best time to attack you. they tried to attack the palace at the same time so our defence will be weak" he sound rushed with information. "what are you talking about, is queen mother ok?" king hwi raised her concerns. "yes, she's the one who told me to visit you as she held back to defend the palace" they both pause and raise concern, the bodyguard hurries king hwi "they know your whereabouts, we have to keep moving, I was ordered to take you both to a safe place until queen mother could neutralize the threat" 

Quickly the tutor, Shin So-Eun, the court lady and eunuch hong, queen ha-kyung all gather with concern but here our courageous and brave king hwi responds "no, I can't run away.. its about time we put an end to this madness, I'm sick and tired of running away.... and let my grandmother deal with all this on her own?" Everyone tries to talk her out to runaway but king hwi looks to queen ha-kyung for strength and maybe an approval for the madness she's going to commit. Queen ha-kyung takes a deep breath and says "jeon-ha, let me put your hair up and get your royal clothing ready" she gives her approval which all the courage king hwi needs at this time. The tutor says he will join her too but before they could make any decision there come a group of thugs to attack them. As the fight starts the cousin, guard and everyone joined to protect king hwi.. They could hold off quite well and king hwi did try to block anyone entering the room but they're out numbered quickly, the thugs get close and get confused as there's no king in sight aka king hwi who's addressed as a women and who's the queen as there's two pregnant woman. While they discuss, the royal guards and some villagers from the town also came to protect king and the queen.
