Am I taking advantage of her love for me, the question I always had in my mind. When I insisted on marriage with shin so-eun (personals ministers daughter, 1st choice to be betrothed) I saw how matured she was, I realized she'd be a great ally to my cause, after careful consideration I really liked her to be the queen as she'd understand my stance, my cause, but my queen, I thought your innocence will let you be eaten by the vultures in this palace, by this crown like rest of my family, .... you proved me wrong every step of the way. You convinced your father to confess his crimes, do good for the people in need, now your whole clan is my biggest supporters in court. how did I underestimate you all along?

A smile brushed my face as you turned towards and subconsciously pull me towards you, this one hug swept all my sadness away in a second. "you look beautiful my queen" I don't know why i'm too emotional towards her calm sleeping face. I do want to kiss her lips again. As i lean in heard permission to enter from servants. Huh I sit up, it's the royal physician of course. "My king, the physician is on his way" the court lady and eunuch Hong walks in. "shhh queen is still asleep, ask him to check me in the study and later when queen wakes up he can check her as well." I say and get ready to walk out. one last glance of your beautiful face before I leave for the day my queen. still sleeping peacefully. "you can still see her during the day my king" the court lady smiles pleasantly as i collect myself. sometimes I feel like she understands me before I could speak, why wouldn't she, she raised me as her own.
In the study:
I heard a rescue mission was successful. my trusted guard could rescue my cousin but he's still badly wounded so unable to get any more information on the tutor. as it's dangerous to make any move they will be camping in a hide out, when it's safe they will make a move towards the capitol. This is a great news. now I have to prepare more to provide them safe passage home. The tutor, I wish he's safe as well. I hope to see both my cousin and the tutor return home safe.
It's been few days, days are uneventful and moving slow but the nights are faster with my queen, she's still nervous around me but as each day passes by, we became closer than ever before. I never thought I could tap into my femininity more when i'm with her. it was a pleasant surprise, i'm happy that i discovered. Words spread quick how we both are inseparable, that i visit her chambers every night and how she comes to my study during the day. Everyone thought it's a good news except eunuch Hong, I don't know why he's always hard on the queen. He still doesn't trust her, the more she gets close to me the more he passes hard judgement which my queen started to ignore now a days but it still bothers her sometime.
Today supposed to be like every other day, uneventful, just preparing for the usual politics in court but received a request from queen mother to visit her chambers the next day with the queen for celebration, every important figure was invited as well. I discussed with the court lady, eunuch Hong and the queen, as far as i know, it's not an important or auspicious day, it's not a political discussion as she specifically asked to be seen during the day and cancel the court to prepare everyone for the celebration, what celebration is it? no one seems to know... Queen mother was more secretive these days than many other. should I be worried about her too, is she on my side?
When I gathered intel she was out of palace for few days, It was supposed to be a visit to a temple but she was there only for a day. where was she for the other two days? why was that a secret to the crown? so many questions in my head but this is not the time for me to panic. My guard is going to bring my cousin home soon and hopefully some good news about the tutor with it. Corruption is almost under control as now every head of ministers realize they can't exploit people like they used to which boosted the economy for better. So hopefully the celebration is just a way of distraction and give hope to the public about the crown as usual?
Well, that's what I thought as well but never knew I would have my life turned upside down with what she had planned for us. This is one event you wouldn't wanna be missed.
