Y/N’s heart was beating louder than the drums–vibrating against her chest. Her steps were deliberately slow in the evening lit up corridor, the anklets were making minimal sounds…
Maybe to not aware the temporary owner of the chamber behind this wall.
The Princess halted her steps, gulping down her sheer ridiculous nervousness, her fingers were slightly trembling embarrassingly so she clasped them together against her belly. Why is this happening to her?
It's just Kim Taehyung–he wouldn't eat her alive.
Y/N inhaled deeply before exhaling but it stupidly didn't help her in calming down. Her feet refused to take any step forward–which could lead her inside the chamber of her husband–
That was the thing, to her he isn't just a prince or general anymore, Kim Taehyung now is her husband. In all existing laws and senses.
The Princess abruptly turned around, walking away, getting defeated, she cannot do this. She really cannot, she's literally trembling–
Y/N gasped as suddenly she was turned back by her arm.
“Y/N, you ain't leaving like a coward.” Jiyeon got behind the Princess’s back to push her forward while YN stayed glued to the floor, pressing her palm against the wall tightly. “Jiyeon, No.”
“Y/N, Go.” Jiyeon tried to push her cousin but somehow the Princess was strongly gripping herself to stay glued like an iron pillar. “He's your husband, Y/N. You only need to inform him about the dinner as your mother said.”
A small task of invitation yet feeling too difficult for her.
“Jiyeon, I cannot do this.”
“If you can love, you can be brave enough to go to your husband.”
She isn't brave– she isn't courageous in front of Kim Taehyung. He does something-–everything to her without even doing anything. And that makes her so guardless in front of him. Y/N shook her head before attempting to turn away but Jiyeon's push came too strong unintentionally causing the Princess to stumble upon an ornate copper vessel placed against the wall on a stand and it fell down causing a loud sound through the corridor.
Y/N flinched a little at the sound followed by a silent gasp. With wide eyes Jiyeon looked at the empty vessel and then towards Taehyung's chamber, it's guaranteed he would be coming out any second now so Jiyeon lifted her hanfu before running away.
“I've to complete my preparations to come along with you tomorrow, goodbye.”
Y/N looked behind her at a running Jiyeon, with wide eyes, 'what a traitor!!!” The Princess slowly glanced towards the chamber, seeing no one coming out, she picked up the vessel to put it back at its place.
A long exhale was let out by the Princess before her feet were leading her towards her only destination in life…Taehyung.
Y/N stood before the big doors, her heart palpitating against her ribs, she was surprised to watch the slight tremors in her fingers when she decided to knock after curling them. Pulling her hand back, she fisted her palm against the other, standing while regulating her breaths and her ears thundering with her heartbeats.
It's just tonight that she's in Ruwana, tomorrow's sunrise in Ruwana will bid a goodbye to her. King Gwanjong and Queen Myeongseong departed to Raventhore after the wedding, to reach their kingdom earlier than the bride to welcome her while leaving it upon Taehyung to bring his newly wedded wife with him.
“Y/N, Raventhore’s tradition and custom will be revealed to you once you come to us. For now you need to know, you'll wear what Taehyung presents to you before coming to Raventhore. It's one of the customs for the bride–to wear a dress from her in-laws upon her arrival. I left it upon him to bring it to you…”
