Same Night...
"Zac..." "Ti please..." "But you didn't even hear her out. You just went straight for the kill..." "She shouldn't be fighting at school Fatima. End of story..." "No!" "Excuse me.." "Bless you." Fatima retorted with her arms folded standing in the doorway of their bedroom.
She walks in sitting on the bed because at this point her feet and brain are tired from all the back and forth.
"Zac, if you would have given her the chance to explain she would've told you the full story. AND when Mia and I saw the video I would've whooped his lil' ass too. Lil' Leo better be glad all he got was a damn trash can fucking with them two..." Fatima uttered with an attitude.
Shaking his head, "And that's what I'm talking about." "Actually you're not." "What?" He asked with a skeptical look on his face.
"Daddy..." "Angel. Go to bed!" "Dain..." Angel mumbled with his lips twisted, turning away from his parents room going back to his bedroom.
He truly didn't want anything, he was just being nosey.
"Fatima..." "No Zac because let the record show..." "Oh here you go.." "Yes here I go because you WILL NOT place a double standard on our daughter."
"There is no..." "Oh indeed there is because how many times do we get a phone call about Angel..." She pauses,
Zac is silent. "EXACTLY! Got damn school got us on freaking speed dial because he's so bad. And NEVER have I EVER heard of a school naming a whole drill after ONE damn child. IN KIN-DER-GARTEN!!!"
"Ok Fatima, I get it..." "No you don't!" she shouted, getting fed up. "Iyonna is a good girl and the ONE time she defends herself you wanna punish her like she committed a double homicide." she voiced truthfully.
"When I got the call from the school, I swear I thought it was for Angel. So when I learned it was for Iyonna my heart sank into my stomach because all I could think about was my baby girl." she said, as tears began to form.
"That boy not only pushed MJ down and made her scrape her elbow...BADLY, I might add. But then after Iyonna pushed him away he damn near attacked her with his words AND HANDS for defending MJ." She defended. "That's when MJ got up and they started to tag team him."
Zac thinks for a moment. "You CANNOT and WILL NOT have a double standard when it comes to our kids Zac." she repeated.
"Iyonna has just as much of a right to defend herself than Angel does. Now yes, I agree. Munchkin shouldn't be fighting in school but ain't no way I'm not about to tell her that she shouldn't be whooping a nigga's ass for putting their hands on her."
Zac sighs, brushing his hand across his face. "Babe..." "Don't touch me." Fatima uttered, pushing his hand away from her.
"Our daughter is in her room crying her seven year old eyes out because the one thing she asked you for. You're gonna take it away from her over ONE mistake. Yet Angel can do no wrong..."
"I never said that." "You didn't have to Zac. It was all in your actions...OUUU!" "Fatima..." "DON'T TOUCH ME!!!" she mumbled through the grit of her teeth, hunched over holding her belly.
"Baby Momma come on. You know Lil' Nugget doesn't like it when we argue." "Well then stop doing stupid shit!" "Hey!" "Zac. I'm serious." Cutting her eyes at him, she let out a breath.
It's silent for a moment as she starts to regain a healthy breathing pattern. "Zac..." she huffs, sitting down on the bed rubbing her belly. "You went too far punishing Iyonna the way you did. And you're not being fair considering Angel has his own drill code and rarely ever gets punished BY YOU..."
