Same Day...
"TT Tima...How you pee outside your diaper?" "MJ?!" she shrugs.
"Mommy, did your water break?" Iyonna asked,
"Yes Munchkin..." "COOL!!!" "Mrs. Taylor, please come into my office." "No. We're just going to take the girls and head over to the hospital...We have time..." she exhaled slowly.
"Booski. I called Zac but he isn't answering..." "What?" Mia shrugs, with a confused look on her face. "Let me see my phone..." Fatima demanded as they all headed to her new SUV.
Since their family is growing, she felt it was necessary to upgrade because "3 car seats in a sedan is ghetto". She told Zac, who didn't hesitate giving her 75% of the money to put down while she put the other 25% using his military discount and her first responder discount to purchase the car in full.
"Ohhhh Mia..." "Fatima, don't you have this baby on me..." "Zac!!!!" "What's up Mamas? You good.." "Why didn't you answer your phone?" "Babe, I just came out of training. I told you..." "The BABY IS COMING!!!" "Shit. Are you still at practice with the girls..." "Yes..." "Ok. SHIT! Ok." he panicked.
They get to Fatima's SUV. "How far apart are the contractions?..." "They've jumped since her water broke Zac..." "We got time..." Fatima says, letting the girls get into the backseat, as happy as they can be.
Iyonna told Fatima she wanted to be in the delivery room when her sister was born but Zac told her no. Even after Fatima told her yes.
With nothing resolved, they had to stick a pin in the conversation because both of them had very different viewpoints but promised to come up with a happy medium...
"Miaaaa..." "Fatima. Please don't have this baby on me..." "Did anyone call the ambulance?" "No...I have time..." Fatima exhaled again, accepting the FaceTime call from Zac.
"Mia. Rub me down..." "You better be lucky you're pregnant telling me to do this..." Mia uttered, watching Fatima get on her knees facing the backseat. "This how yo ass got pregnant in the first place.." "Mia. Please shut up..." As she started to calm.
"Mamas. I think you should call an ambulance..." "I'm with Zac...." "I don't feel the need to push anymore. We have time..." Fatima says.
"Fatima..." "Zac. I'm fine, just meet me at the hospital." "Ok. But Don't hang up." "Absolutely not. You need to focus on the road because if you stay on and something happens, your going to pass out and I be damned if you get into an accident trying to see our daughter being born... "
Fatima sits back down in the back seat, while Mia puts the car in drive. "Mommy, can I sit in your row and hold your hand..." "NO!!!" "Zac. NOT NOW!" she yelled at him. "Come on, Munchkin." she utters, holding out her hand.
Fatima continues to breathe.. Iyonna quickly jumps from her seat belt in the third row. "SHIT!" "What?" She asked calmly, trying to keep calm.
"The GPS said I'm 30 minutes away because of traffic.." Fatima lets out an exasperated sigh, "Just keep breathing Mommy." Iyonna encouraged her happily. "I promise I will, Munchkin."
"Fatima. She shouldn't be witnessing this..." "Zac. She is a girl. One day she's going to experience it. At this point...OOOOOUUUUUU!" Fatima groans. Squeezing Iyonna's little hand.
"Ouch..." "Sorry Munchkin..." "It's ok Mommy. It only hurts a little. Just keep breathing..." "Mia..." "Fatima, we are 10 minutes away." "Pull over..." "FUCK!!!" "Fatima!!" "ZAC. HANG UP NOW!!!" Fatima demanded.
"I'm not hanging up." "Well PULL YOUR ASS OVER NOW!!!" Fatima screamed, through her contraction that intensified. "BECAUSE I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU WANNA SHOW IMA GIVE IT TO YOU!"
