Same Day...
Almost two hours later...

Zac places his car in park, turning off the ignition, then getting out.

Walking up the walkway he sees Big Ma sweeping the porch.

He smiles. "What's up Gorgeous?" "Hey Peanut." "You ok?" "Mmhmm." Big Ma hummed giving Zac a look, with her broom in her hand.

"What I do now?" "I'm not in that for good reason but I've been thinking..." as she took a seat in her rocking chair.

Zac sits next to her, "What's going on?" "We're growing Zachary." Looking out into the street.

"We are." He mumbled happily.

"And I think it's time we make a move." "But Big Ma. We've been here since forever." "I know." she murmurs. "But with everything going on. I think it's time we switch it up..." she spoke softly.

"God is telling me it's time..." "So what are we going to do about the house?" "Well, I've been thinking about that too." "I know you don't wanna sell it." "No. But I've been talking to Doris and ya mutha and I think it'll be a good idea to open this home as a safe haven."

Zac sits back and thinks.

Over the years and throughout his life, Zac has always known Big Ma to open her home to anyone in need. Whether it be a meal, a shoulder to cry on, sound advice, a place to lay their head, and even a means for protection.

So this new found revelation of giving back to the community by opening her home to do so, doesn't surprise him.

"Well Big Ma. I'm down with it. I mean with all the advancements I've made to the house. I think it'll be perfect." Zac agreed.

Big Ma nods pleasingly. "Good." she utters, "Real good."

Zac sits for a moment. "Whatcha doing?" "I'm chilling, whatcha you mean?" "Boy get on in nere and talk to ya wife..." "Big Ma..." "Nope because just like it's time for us to make a move. It's also time for you and Cupcake to make a move too..." she reiterated.

Zac groans, "Big Ma..." "Nope. I'm not gettin' in that." "But..." "Peanut. You're doing the same thing ya father did wit'cha sista." "That's what Momma said." Zac mumbled, remembering the conversation he had with his mother.

"You and Cupcake are stronga than ya father and Amanda was. Which is why you've gone through the fire and now your going through the rain..." she told him, then chuckles.

"Why are you chuckling, Big Ma?" "Because this is the precise reason why Munchkin and I named Nugget, Naomi Grace."

"Huh?" "Peanut, the name Naomi is in the bible..." Zac thinks for a moment, "In the book of Ruth." "Correct. Now do you know what it means, the story behind it?" Big Ma challenged.

"Yeah." She muttered, "When ya stop reading ya Bible. You stopped believing."

Zac falls back in his head, slumping out of shame. "That's why you and Cupcake going through it, baby. God had no other way to show you that it's time to get back with him and ya wife than to put you in situations and circumstances with the kids."

Zac takes a breath taking his hand across his face. "Now the story of Naomi is about a woman who experience great hardships and loss..." she begins.

Zac sighs, thinking of everything he and Fatima have been through within the past seven years, "I see ya wheels turning Peanut.." "They are." "Can you name the hardships and loss..." "My Dad. Ma. Even though I got her back, my brother, Ivy and finding out that Imani killed her, Lil' Cupcake and Fatima's abortion..." "Mmmhm." Big Ma agreed. "Keep going.."
