Guys, we have hit 20k reads. Thanks everyone!!

The cold London air hit Shivaay the moment he stepped out of the cab, but it did nothing to sober him up. He swayed slightly, blinking up at the unfamiliar building.

This was it.

Anika’s place.

His unfinished business.

He took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair before making his way to the entrance. His usual confident stride was missing—partly because of the alcohol, partly because he wasn’t sure what the hell he was doing here.

He didn’t remember pressing the doorbell. But suddenly, the door swung open.

And there she was.

Anika.

Dressed in comfortable pajamas, her hair tied in a loose bun, eyes widening the second she saw him.

"Shivaay?"

His name on her lips did something to him. He blinked, trying to focus.

"You…" she started, crossing her arms, "…why are you here? Don't you guys have the game night?"

Shivaay opened his mouth, then closed it. Good question. What did happen to game night?

"Over," he muttered after a long pause. "It's over."

Anika frowned, stepping forward slightly. "And you decided to come here?"

"Unfinished business," he said, leaning against the doorframe. "Very important."

"Those bastards booked me a cab to your house Anika"

Her frown deepened. "Are you drunk?"

He scoffed. "No."

She raised an eyebrow.

"Okay… maybe a little," he admitted. "But that’s not the point."

Anika sighed. "Then what is the point, Shivaay?"

His lips parted, but no words came out.  Her calling his name is so comforting and seductive at the same time.

Why was he here?

Because of David? Because she smiled at another man? Because the idea of her being with someone else made something in his chest burn?

Or was it just the alcohol talking?

Anika shook her head. "You should go home."

He didn’t move. Instead, he studied her, his gaze lingering a little too long.

"You live alone here?" he asked suddenly.

She rolled her eyes. "Yes, I live alone. What does that have to do with anything?"

"Nothing," he muttered, glancing past her into the apartment. "Looks nice."

"Khud ke mahal ko chorke ye studio apartment looks nice to you. You can admire it some other day," she said, stepping aside. "Right now, you need to leave."

Shivaay didn’t budge. "You want me to leave?"

"Yes."

His lips curled into a lazy smirk. "Then why haven’t you shut the door yet?"

Anika opened her mouth, then snapped it shut.

Damn him.

Damn his infuriating ability to get under her skin even when he was tipsy.
