The next morning, Anika woke up to a familiar sight—a fresh bouquet of lilies at her doorstep. She sighed, shaking her head with a small smile. This man.

She picked up the bouquet, noticing the note tucked between the petals.

“Good morning, Girlfriend. I finally know your favorite. See you soon.”_

Anika groaned, biting back a smile.
"Chant mahapurush hai(Cunningly smart)"

"But mere hai(but he is mine)"

Should she call him? He might be busy. It was morning, and he had work.

But before she could overthink, her fingers had already dialed his number.

He picked up almost immediately. “Good morning, Sleeping Beauty.”

Anika rolled her eyes, but her lips curled into a smile. “Good morning, Stalker Singh Oberoi.”

Shivaay chuckled. “Took you long enough to call.”

“I wasn’t sure if you’d be free.”

“For you? Always.”

She shook her head, ignoring the fluttering in her stomach. “Kya subah subah flirt kar rahe hai?(Why are you flirting early in the morning?)”

“To time dekhu flirt karne ke liye ab?(So you want me to check time now before flirting?). Admit Anika, you love every bit of it”

Anika huffed. “Don’t flatter yourself.”

Shivaay’s voice dropped a little, teasing yet warm. “Too late.”

"Chaliye Bye, have a great day" she cut the call and freshened herself up for the busy day.

Anika reached the Oberoi Mansion earlier than usual. She had told herself it was to get a head start on work, but deep down, she knew it was to see him before her team arrived.

She found him in the living room, casually sipping his coffee. The moment he spotted her, a smirk tugged at his lips.

“Couldn’t stay away, could you?”

Anika scoffed. “I came early for work, Mr. Self-Obsessed.”

Shivaay raised an eyebrow. “Of course. That’s why you called me first thing in the morning too, right?”

She crossed her arms. “Are you going to let me sit, ya phir mai jaau?”

Shivaay chuckled, motioning toward the seat next to him. “By all means, sit. I wouldn’t want you fainting because you missed me too much.”

Anika rolled her eyes but took the seat. They chatted for a while—lighthearted teasing, stolen glances, and moments that felt too easy. Too natural.

But soon enough, her work called, and Shivaay had to leave for the office.

“Don’t miss me too much,” he quipped before leaving.

Anika shook her head, already regretting coming early.

The entire day, her phone buzzed with messages.

Shivaay: Are you working or thinking about me? Cz I am thinking about you

Anika: I was working until you texted.

Shivaay: So you’re admitting I’m a distraction?

Anika: Shivaay, don’t you have an empire to run?

Shivaay: Multitasking, sweetheart.

Her colleagues noticed the constant messaging and didn’t let it slide.
