Anika sighed as she saw yet another bouquet of flowers waiting for her at her doorstep. This had now become her daily dose of Shivaay Singh Oberoi’s madness.
She picked up the note attached:
"Still don't know your favorite. ~ Shivaay"
A small, involuntary smile played on her lips, but she quickly shook it off. No, Anika. You will not fall for this man’s antics.
Just as she stepped inside, her phone rang. Speak of the devil.
Shivaay Calling…
She rolled her eyes but answered, “Kya hua?”
“Good morning to you too,” Shivaay’s voice was laced with amusement. “Got the flowers?”
“Haan, mile,” she replied, placing them on the table. “What should I do with all these?”
Shivaay chuckled. “Agar sach bolun toh dont think about throwing for sure.”
She huffed, “Why did you call?”
“Dadi wants you to be there for Sunday breakfast tomorrow.”
Anika stiffened. “Mujhe nahi lagta yeh sahi idea hai.”
“Dadi ne kaha hai, so you can't say no.”
“It’ll be awkward, Shivaay. Abhi abhi sach saamne aaya hai. I don't think I should be there”
“Its okay I will handle.”
Anika sighed. She knew there was no way out if Dadi had insisted.
She hesitated before adding, “But I might be late. Aaj raat ko club ja rahi hoon.”
There was a pause before Shivaay spoke, his voice shifting to something slightly possessive. “Club?”
“Haan, club. With my colleagues. It's weekend right”
She didn't know why she felt Shivaay should know her plans but it felt necessary.
“Hmmm…” He sounded like he was considering something. “Aur kitne baje tak ka plan hai?”
“No idea.”
"You want me to pick you up from there in case it's late?" He questioned.
"Nahi nahi, I will come back" she answered.
There was silence on the other end for a moment, and then he casually said, “Theek hai, then I will be there tomorrow to pick you up. Tumhare ghar pe.”
She blinked. “Kya?”
“Haan. If you want I can even wake you up”
“Shivaay, main bacchi nahi hoon.(Shivaay I am not a kid)”
“Main kab keh raha hoon? Pedophile samjha hai mujhe?(When did I say that? You think I am some pedophile?)” He smirked through the phone. “What I am saying is that I would love to see your face when you wake up.”
Her breath hitched slightly. “Kaise cheapde hai aap.”
Shivaay laughed. “Just saying the truth my lady.”
She groaned. “Bye”
“Jaao, but remember one thing, if you don't pick up my call tomorrow, I will be there.”
Before she could retort, he hung up, leaving her staring at her phone.
This man was going to drive her insane.
