"Don't go too far, Jinwoo!"

A 6 year-old Jinwoo laughed, as heard his mom's distant voice call out. "Yes mom!" He called back, as he ran on the beach, laughing innocently every time the waves lapped at his little feet.

Jinwoo's wide black eyes looked around to find a place to play in. His face brightened up, as he noticed a shallow pool filled with water. With a happy giggle he made his way towards the pool, and sat on the rocks. The boy leaned his head back, closing his eyes, and simply basking in the peace.

An unexpected splash caught his attention, and the boy startled, opened his eyes.

In front of his eyes, was the most beautiful thing Jinwoo had seen in his short life. A girl, smaller than him, with startling blue eyes and white hair as pure as the snow, looked up at him from the shallow pool.

"Who are you?" Jinwoo asked, in awe.

The girl looked at him, before leaning back and showing him her tail. Jinwoo gasped, "Are you a mermaid?"

The girl shook her head furiously.

"Then?" Jinwoo asked her, confused.

The girl swam around in circles, urging him to try and figure out her species. Jinwoo thought long and hard, before "Are you a siren?" The boy gasped.

The girl grinned at him brightly, and Jinwoo felt warm inside. He liked seeing her smile. He would do anything to make her smile, the young boy decided that day.

"Can you talk?" Jinwoo asked, swinging his legs, causing water to splash around.

The siren shook her head.

"Oh..." Jinwoo muttered, before perking up, "Say have you seen the jasmine flowers by the cliff?"

The pretty siren tilted her head, curious.

"You haven't? Come with me, I'll show you!" Jinwoo exclaimed, before frowning, "I only know the way by land though..."

The siren let out what seemed to be a laugh. Jinwoo stared at her entranced.

The siren made her way to the rocks and made her way up. Only when the siren was sitting next to him, did he notice that the place where her tail used to be, now had legs.

"You can transform?" Jinwoo asked in awe, as he helped the siren up. The siren grinned, even if her balance was a little bad, she could walk.

"We have to tell my mom before going to the fields." Jinwoo told her, pulling her to the spot on the beach where his parents were. Jinwoo paused as he noticed the siren stop walking.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

The siren shook her head, pointing at his family.

"You're scared of meeting them?" Jinwoo asked, tilting his head, "Why?"

The siren patted her legs.

"Oooohhhh!" Jinwoo's eyes widened, "They can't know you're a siren."

The siren nodded.

"Let's just go then." Jinwoo told her, pulling her along with him towards the field of jasmines.

"Say?" Jinwoo asked her, "What's your name?"

The siren shook her head and Jinwoo stared, perplexed, "You don't have a name? How weird."

Soon enough the two kids reached the field of flowers. The siren made a noise of surprise as she stared at the field of flowers in awe. Quickly she ran in to the field, eyes glowing with joy, as she looked back at Jinwoo.
