It has been a week since Scarlet got out of the hospital. Her wounds had held fine but Xavier, Jenna and the rest of the group weren't sure if her mind had healed the same.

Scarlet barely spoke, barely ate and barely came out of her room. She constantly stayed under the covers, hidden from the world that so desperately wanted to grasp her by the heels and pull her down. Her dreams hadn't stopped but they had died down, instead of arguing she now sat in silence with Cliona. They didn't talk, they just sat.

It was a relief on Scarlets half but she still only came out to tuck Rushika in. The bathroom was connected to Scarlets room so that meant less visits to the outside world and more inside her room. Gazing out the window to the pack children and humming a song when she stared at the wall.

Some thought she had sent crazy but nonetheless the pack showed their support. Scarlet constantly got baskets of food, snacks, books, perfumes and more. She unpacked the first twenty she got but the rest piled up on the side of her room and Mary added to the collection.

That reminded her, Rushika's birthday had came and went. It was the only day Scarlet stayed out of her room for more than thirty minutes. She went downstairs, greeted Rushika and gave her a gift. Rushika stayed by Scarlets side for half of her party but curiosity got the best of her. She ended up playing with the rest of the kids.

Scarlet watched them play, the first smile in two weeks showing on her face for all she see. She liked that Rushika had made herself some friends and that she was going to school regularly to learn about the human race and the werewolf kind to but summer was rolling in and Rushika would have to give that up.

The pack pups played alongside Rushika, giggles and laughter filling the air. Mary had delivered food to Scarlet, rubbing her shoudler before she left again. Mary tried to talk to Scarlet, tried to explain why she was disappointed but that she also didn't want them to drift apart. Scarlet listened but she did not answer. Not even a nod Mary's way.

Xavier sat next to Scarlet, his hand on his knee and his eyes on Rushika. They sparkled with joy at seeing a little child play. Scarlet enjoyed it, she knew Xavier wanted a child to. He had had it hard in life from moving around to getting his face almost clawed off to Scarlet and her games.

He deserved a child.

It was then that Scarlet made a decision. The pack needed a Luna or at least they needed Xavier to mate with someone and quick. Ashley couldn't mate with Xavier after finding out who their true Luna was and neither could any other girl.

After showering and washing Scarlet dressed in a white nightgown and went over to the connecting room next to her. Xavier's room.

"Scarlet?" He hummed turning to her, Scarlet shut and locked the door softly. "What wrong, are you okay?" Scarlet nodded and met Xavier half through the room.

"I. . ." She swallowed "I'm fine" running a hand up Xavier's white button up she caressed his neck then cheek. "I was thinking" she started out, her eyes on his neck "the pack needs a Luna and I've already been introduced" she gulped "we should mate" Xavier's hands wrapped around her waist, he shook his head.

"Mating is suppose to be because you love someone, not because you feel obligated" Scarlet sighed "I don't feel obligated Xavier, I know what I'm doing and I know I want to mate with you. It's just a matter of if you want to mate me?" He didn't have to say anything, his heart thought before he brain could and he kissed her.

Warm, soft lips against rough, heated ones. It was like he had expected. Sparks flew, birds chirped and the sun seemed to have dimmed creating the perfect lighting.

Xavier kissed her slowly, pouring his feeling out to Scarlet. She responded immediately, wrapped her arms around Xavier's neck she pulled him closer.
